9 OCTOBER 2020 DEARBORN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND COUNCIL MEETING NOTES
Present: Jim Thatcher, President, Art Little, and Rick Probst
Council Present: Liz Morris, President, Dennis Kraus. Sr., Dan Lansing, Alan Goodman, and Bill Ullrich.
ABSENT: Kevin Turner, Tim Doll (one or both may have been present via phone)
Also present: Connie Fromhold, Auditor and Andy Baudendistel, Attorney
OF NOTE:Mike Schwebler from High Point Health and Board Members from the hospital attended the executive session and were seen leaving prior to the meeting.
TITLE VI STATEMENT FOR COMPLIANCE was read by Baudendistel as legally required.
The Board of Commissioners and County Council of Dearborn County, Indiana had called a Joint Executive Session to begin at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, October 9, 2020. The Executive Session is being called pursuant to Indiana Code § 5-14-1.5-6.1 for the purpose(s) of:
Indiana Code § 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(2)(D)
For discussion of strategy with respect to any of the following: A real property transaction including: (i) a purchase; (ii) a lease as lessor; (iii) a lease as lessee; (iv) a transfer; (v) an exchange; or (vi) a sale…by the governing body up to the time a contract or option is executed by the parties. This clause does not affect a political subdivision’s duty to comply with any other statute that governs the conduct of the real property transaction, including Indiana Code § 36-1-10 or Indiana Code § 36-1-11.

Interviews and negotiations with industrial or commercial prospects or agents of industrial or commercial prospects by…a governing body of a political subdivision. However, this subdivision does not apply to any discussions regarding research that is prohibited under Indiana Code § 16-34.5-1-2 or under any other law.
CERTIFICATION OF EXECUTIVE SESSION- Commissioners and Council certified they only discussed what was advertised.
