15 FEBRUARY 2022 DEARBORN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING NOTES
Present: Rick Probst, Acting President, and Art Little.
Jim Thatcher - participating via telephone as permitted by IND code as we remain under Covid emergency that is still in effect.
Also present: Connie Fromhold, Auditor, Andy Baudendistel, Attorney, and Sue Hayden, Administrator
TITLE VI STATEMENT FOR COMPLIANCE was read by Baudendistel as legally required.
OLD BUSINESS:
2021 Annual Review - Dave Currence- Veterans Service Officer- TABLED until 3/1 meeting.
Request to extend Carrie Drive Right of Way into the Old Mack Family Farm Property- Rob Seig, Surveyor. Carrie Drive is off Pribble Road at the top of the hill. One of the owners, George Morgan, was present. Copies of exhibit were given got Commissioners previously.138 acres. Carrie Drive was the old Gensheimer Subdivision that was not developed. Put a cul-de- sac on his property for the 3 family residential lots they will have on the 138 acres. Might not put in a couple pan handles if needed. They also talked to Todd Listerman. Needs to be gravel to match existing Carrie Drive. Commissioners approved the cul-de-sac.
NEW BUSINESS:
Weather Advisory Declarations- Jason Sullivan, EMA Director- Sullivan was not present, so Sue Hayden presented. Jan 28th and Jan 29th Feb 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th advisories were approved.
ADMINISTRATOR – Sue Hayden- 2022 EMS Squad Contract- Dillsboro. this is the last one needing to be signed. Two squads for $40,000 approved.
AUDITOR – Connie Fromhold -Claims/Payroll and Feb 1st Minutes were approved.
ATTORNEY – Andy Baudendistel- nothing
COMMISSIONER COMMENTS:
Little- guess everyone was disappointed in the Super Bowl. Weather looks like it will be nicer now.
Probst- also commended highway dept.
Thatcher- thanked HWY dept for a terrific job with weather. Thx for covering to Probst so he could spend Valentines Day with wife in Hueston Woods.
