4 OCTOBER 2022 DEARBORN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING NOTES
Present: Jim Thatcher, President, Art Little, and Rick Probst
Also present: Connie Fromhold, Auditor, Andy Baudendistel, Attorney, and Sue Hayden, Administrator
TITLE VI STATEMENT FOR COMPLIANCE was read by Baudendistel as legally required.
OLD BUSINESS
Schneider GIS Contract- Nicole Daily, Planning and Zoning Adm- Tabled again until Oct 18th which also a morning meeting
NEW BUSINESS
Lawrenceburg Library Reappointment for Gary Gellert- Jake Moore Director LPLD- said Gekkert has served for several years and wishes to be reappointed, Probst welcomed Jake Moore who has had over 20 years of library work experience. Hayden also told him she was available should he need any help or info. Fromhold introduced the commissioner board members also. Gellert was reappointed
Ordinance Amending 150.23- “Building Commissioner Conflict of Interest” from Dearborn County Ordinance - Baudendistel said this was already done but the current back-uo is Lawrenceburg’s Commissioner- now they do not have a Bldg Commissioner in Lawrenceburg so we are changing that to Greendale’s Building Commissioner as back-up. Approved and signed.
Award of Small Structure #575 Aluminum Culvert Weisberg Road- Highway Engineer- Todd Listerman- This is for the structure on the other side of the road where the building was removed. $ 66,646.79 is the low bid. 16 weeks before the actual structure is delivered to us. It’s funded by Council already. This will be installed next spring. Aluminum 3 sided box, similar to the other side. The other box will hold through the winter. Approved the quote.
In his budget is a new truck for the engineer.
Low Quote is Kelsey Chevrolet $45, 976.25 2023 Crew cab fleet truck. Should be here in 3-4 months.Probst said - 12 year old truck with 180,000 miles on it is being replaced. Listerman said - Part time people will use the old truck. This will mean the old one will go through the winter. Approved.
ADMINISTRATOR – Sue Hayden- nothing
AUDITOR – Connie Fromhold -Claims/Payroll and September 19th Minutes were approved.
ATTORNEY – Andy Baudendistel- nothing today
COMMISSIONER COMMENTS-
Probst- inperson early voting starts Wednesday. Excited- and state races are extremely important. It’s easy to do in person and absentee voting.
Little- Vote- it might one the most important since Lincoln’s election
Thatcher- From 5-7 you can get vaccines at the mobile unit in front of the Courthouse.
