F. ADMINISTRATIVE DEARBORN COUNTY PROPOSED ZONING MAP and TEXT CHANGES – To review and discuss proposed ordinance amendments and updates to the Dearborn County Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map, specifically with respect to the text(s) of: Articles 9 and 10, regarding Agricultural and Residential Zoning Districts; Article 25, regarding General Standards and new Use Development Standards; Article 27, regarding Definitions.
We will be holding another Plan Commission meeting on August 28, 2023 at 6:00 pm at the Dearborn County Government Center (Courthouse) to continue discussions on the proposed draft changes to the Zoning Ordinance text and zoning map. The last couple meetings have been focused on the zoning map and the Board will continue those discussions.
The Board acknowledged last meeting that they would be starting with Lawrenceburg Township, if there is time to discuss other townships we would either do one or another means of deciding; poll the people that are at the meeting for their township or go in an order from Southwest corner, to the east moving across the County township by township west to east and south north.
If I were to give a possible order of the townships for the next meeting it would be the following (there is no guarantee this will be the order in which the Board chooses to discuss but it will be the outline I propose to the Board):
Lawrenceburg, Caesar Creek, Clay, Washington, Center, Sparta, Hogan, Manchester, York and Miller. We will try to get through as many as possible as there are no filed cases on the agenda (this is all administrative items), but we may have a case in October so we would be limited to the number of Townships we could discuss in October.
