21 JANUARY 2020 DEARBORN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING NOTES

Present: Jim Thatcher, President, Art Little, and Rick Probst

Also present: Connie Fromhold, Auditor, Andy Baudendistel, Attorney, and Sue Hayden, Administrator

TITLE VI STATEMENT FOR COMPLIANCE was read by Baudendistel as legally required.

OLD BUSINESS

911 Communications Board Appointment- Tabled again until the board can meet

NEW BUSINESS

Weights and Measures- Appointment- Carl Fryman- he will be part time employee of county and he has to get certified and she will administer his oath after appointed. There is another employee who does this also. Fryman approved.

ADMINISTRATOR – Sue Hayden- Contracts for $20,000 per squad- This is the Commissioners budget ones- Dillsboro, Manchester, Moores Hill and Sunman. All have two units except Sunman. Approved. The other units come out of Auditor’s budget as part of Revenue Sharing. There are 21 units for that 5% so each one gets 1/21 of the 5% allotted. Approved for the following 21 units:

Aurora, Dillsboro, Lawrenceburg, Greendale, Manchester, Hogan, Sunman, Moores Hill, Bright, Miller/York, and St. Leon Fire Depts., Aurora, Greendale, Lawrenceburg Emergency Rescues,  Moores Hill/Sparta VFS, Rescue 21(Sunman), Bright Fire and EMS, St Leon Rescue, Manchester Life Squad, and Dearborn County Water Rescue. 

AUDITOR – Connie Fromhold  -Claims/Payroll and  January 7th Minutes approved.

Revenue Sharing Contracts - see above under administrator item.

Encumbrances- About $7 million in there.

ATTORNEY – Andy Baudendistel - none

COMMISSIONER COMMENTS- Only Little commented that the  weather hasn’t been too difficult yet this January.
