State Road 46 closes over Whitewater River in Dearborn County

DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. — The Indiana Department of Transportation has temporarily closed State Road 46 over Whitewater River Friday, September 13, for necessary structure repairs in Dearborn County.

The closure is located between Barber Road and U.S. 52, west of the I-74 interchange (Exit 169).The bridge will remain closed until traffic signals can be installed on a later date, opening the bridge to one lane. Additional information and updates will be provided as they become available. Motorists should detour utilizing U.S. 52 to I-74 to S.R. 1 while the closure is in place.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
