ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S REPORT: Terri Randall reported. Budget time so the hearings are next week and Commissioners and Redevelopment are on Monday 11 and 11:30 AM. DCRC budget is the same as last year but carved out an item for advertising. Deaton will be there.

Skally’s update- a couple from West Harrison stopped by to talk about it to her. They were happy about the project down there. Sally’s had to go thru financing on their own without their partner. Skally’s is almost done except for the final appraisal. They need the final drawings for that. They have an architect to finish that- will probably take a couple months and hope t get that done by the end of the year. Nothing will be deeded to them until this is finalized and they have the loan secured. They are not going to close the bond yet.

Kaiser Pickles is working on their facility. They are moving dirt and submitting plans to Plan Commission and getting permits from Building Inspector. Because they moved from Zimmer location- they want the incentives to move to the new location to D&S Machine Shop where they are moving. This would mean they have to expand that. They will discuss this at a meeting before the regular 2 month one. This would cover site improvements and infrastructure upgrades. They have to preprocess the sewage also.

Signage at Aurora Industrial Park- she was excited that Jimmy Rack contacted Aurora and Guinevere Emery sent him to Randall. They were pleasantly surprised that Rack wants to move more property. They do a lot of excavating. Rack wants to bring better entrance to attract more business. They may want to partner in the signage discussion. They could excavate and help hide the less attractive parts. They are also going to meet with Paula Kramer the owner of the sign area.

They will need an executive session for some incentives and also a regular meeting that they will have to set the time in the next 2 weeks. Have to email the other board members.

More discussion on the auto parts area in the Aurora Industrial Park and the BZA restrictions that were put on it when it was done.

No more word on the port site selection.

ATTORNEY’S REPORT- none

OTHER BUSINESS- none

ADJOURNMENT - 8:50 AM
