19 December 2017 Dearborn County Commissioners Meeting Notes

19 December 2017 Dearborn County Commissioners Meeting Notes

Present: Shane McHenry, President, and Art Little
Commissioner Lynch passed away last week.

Also present: Gayle Pennington, Auditor, Andy Baudendistel, Attorney,
ABSENT: Sue Hayden, Administrator- still covering another meeting

Baudendistel read the Title VI statement as required by law.

Commissioner McHenry  choked up as he asked for a moment of silence for commissioner Lynch-  we lost a good friend and colleague in Kevin. Honor and privilege to serve with him. Good team- made good decisions for the future of this county and couldn’t have done it without Kevin. Hard to look over and see that seat empty. Asked that we keep Joey and Mike and the entire Lynch family in our prayers.

They will change the times if there is something on the agenda that should have more public input. Nov meeting on wed after election. Feb 20th meeting is a morning meeting. Approved.

AUDITOR- Gayle Pennington- claims approved. Nov 7th minutes needed signature and Dec 5th minutes were approved.

ATTORNEY- Andy Baudendistel- Interlocal Agreement and Resolutions with Greendale for 911 dispatch service. Resolution signed and agreement approved and signed. Greendale now wants county help for 11PM to 7 AM coverage. (Third shift). This is a 2 year agreement- $15,000/year. There is an automatic renewal on it and 60 day notice termination clauses. Greendale approved it unanimously. This is a good trial run per McHenry. At some time they may choose to have the county handle it all he hopes. 911 says they can handle this.
