4 April 2017 Dearborn County Commissioners Meeting Notes

Present: Shane McHenry, President, Art Little, and Kevin Lynch

Also present: Gayle Pennington, Auditor, Andy Baudendistel, Attorney, and Terri Randall, Administrator

Baudendistel read Title VI statement as legally required.

OLD BUSINESS: none

NEW BUSINESS:

HIGHWAY DEPT. Todd, Listerman, County Engineer

2016 Annual Operating Report for Local Roads and Streets- copies already given to commissioners. Receipts taken in were $5,830,514.56 Expenses were $7,069,048.47 It lists all the major projects for the year. Commissioners signed off on the report to be sent to INDOT. 

Utility Reimbursement Agreement with North Dearborn Water for Bridge #77 on Woliung Road. This is the Community Crossings Grant project. The water line needs to be relocated. Commissioners signed the agreement.

Let Bridge 43 Platt Road- Centurylink needs to relocate for that project. Started later this month and reopened by August 1st.

Bridge 138 - cleared ROW for RR crossing- pre-bid meetings next week and letting this on the 20th of April- to start in May and done and reopened by Christmas. 

Woliung Bridge 77 is ready to start when the utilities relocate. 

Let Cold Springs Road late this year.

Jamison by Losecamp is working on  the funding with this- perhaps Community Crossings Grant.

50/50 Cmmunity Crossings match program - looking into that also with Council.

Need permission to go to Council to set aside Rainy Day funding for the Community Crossings 50/50 grant program. We don’t have  a wheel tax so have to use rainy day. Old to go to Council 

ADMINISTRATOR- Terri Randall- nothing today

AUDITOR- Gayle Pennington- Veteran’s Officers transportation fund grant form Lawrenceburg- approved and signed by Commissioner McHenry. 

Minutes for March 21st meeting approved. Special Meeting Minutes from March 28th approved.

Claims approved.

ATTORNEY- Andy Baudendistel- nothing today.

COMMISSIONER COMMENTS-

Lynch- Spring Forward- check smoke detectors- be more alert to kids outside and laying on bikes more.

Little- Annex coming along and roof is on and drywall starting. 

McHenry- wishing his daughter Lauren a happy 12th- doesn’t know where the time has gone!
