20 April 2017 Dearborn County Redevelopment Meeting Notes
Present: Jim Deaton, Chairman, Dave Deddens, Jim Helms, John Rahe, Alan Goodman, and Jamie Graf (non- voting school board member)
Also present: Terri Randall, county administrator and economic development director, Sue Hayden, minute taker, Leah Bailey covering for Gayle Pennington
ABSENT: Andrea Ewan, attorney, Gayle Pennington, Auditor and DCRC treasurer.
Deaton read the Title VI statement as required by law.
VERIFICATION OF INFO DISCUSSED IN EXECUTIVE SESSION- The board verified that they only discussed the potential employees as stated in their advertised purpose for the session as deemed confidential.
ACTION OF EXECUTIVE SESSION- No action from the session per Deaton.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES- April 13th minutes approved
CLAIMS AND FINANCIALS- no claims
Review of Financials were passed around. No questions on those.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
One Dearborn Contract tabled from April 13th- Board decided that based on the personnel discussions from executive session this remains tabled.
NEW BUSINESS:
USDA Contracts for farm property- Ag Risk coverage- County Option and Price Loss Coverage-because the Stone property is farmed again this year. This allows the government credits to go to the farmer. No payment on this. There are two parcels and two forms. These are common.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OFFICER’S REPORT: closing is tomorrow on the Aurora property from Paula Kramer. Then they can move forward on signal etc.
ATTORNEY’S REPORT- Andrea was not present.
OTHER BUSINESS- none
Want to reschedule the meeting on One Dearborn. Need to have attorney there. Set for April 27th at 8:30 AM.
