[NOTE: I was unable to attend this meeting. Below is a summary of what was discussed from sources at the meeting. ]

Present: Shane McHenry, President, Art Little

Also present: Gayle Pennington, Auditor, Andy Baudendistel, Attorney, and Terri Randall, Administrator

ABSENT: Kevin Lynch

OLD BUSINESS:

NEW BUSINESS:

Change Orders for Annex- Chris Grabosky, Maxwell Construction-  gave out  couple change orders. Proceeding as planned over all. Don’t need more money from Council tonight per Randall.

Grant for Urban Agriculture- Soil and Water Stormwater Coordinator- Jennifer Hughes- community gardens and food pantries for their own garden - approved.

Update on PAWS “Target Zero” - Pat Hawkins, Secretary Treasurer- this is a non-profit that helps streamlines operations so that they can get to zero euthanizations. Also trying to lower salary costs. Cut $21,000 so far this year. Public meeting May 22 from 6-7 at Lawrenceburg Legion post.

HIGHWAY DEPT. Todd, Listerman, County Engineer:

INDOT letter for closure and detour of US 52- reimbursement will be depend on this letter. approved.

Award of Bridge 138, Bonnell Road- Rohe got bid for $890,000. Approved.

DC Draft Pavement Asset Management Program- HB 1002 increased funding. Need this plan to get the Community Crossings Funds. Asking Council for a $1 million match tonight. Since the county has over 50,000 people per 2010 census we have to do  50/50 match. Hired HWC from New Albany to do this plan. Tim Hunt and Paul Links passed out the materials for this to Commissioners. LTAP out of Purdue gives ratings of 1-10 for our pavement assets. 235 paved miles in poor condition. Gravel roads were also rated. Critical distress point is 4 or below for paved roads needing to be paved. Culverts can’t be fixed with this money unless they are part of the paving. Poor rating might be OK for roads that are stable at that point. Approved to ask Council.

ADMINISTRATOR- Terri Randall- Child Evangelist Fellowship Prayer Rally in June on Courthouse Square and date to set later.

AUDITOR- Gayle Pennington- Claims and Minutes approved

ATTORNEY- Andy Baudendistel- Signing Hardintown Vacation Ordinance- Commissioners signed off on this. Keeping an eye on the cell tower bill this week.
