nice to see a candidate not accepting donations and paying for everything himself.

Jeff Hughes can run for office, but he won't be able to run away from his past as being a development toadie and the creator of the DCRSD.

The number of signs means nothing. Remember all the Linkmeyer signs? Thompson still beat him and two political machines with just a handful of mostly hand painted signs.

The "good old boy and gal network" in this county will be DOA come election day!

For every dollar Hughes brings in in donations, take away two dollars in their effectiveness if Benning is publicly campaigning for him!

Vera Benning exhibits all of Hillary Clinton's bad qualities...

What's with Benning harrassing a LOCAL BUSINESS operator to remove a Scott banner?
Isn't voter intimidation illegal?

I am disgusted by the trash talk that came from the "hwy". You dont appreciate the jobs you have and want things to go to your own benifits and not the County. I am a taxpayer who works hard, pays for my own gas, and alot more for the benifits I have. Then, You bring your own boss Listerman into it, and make yourselves for a good libel lawsuit by accusing him of stealing signs! I cannot see him at there, running around the County stealing signs from Tom O. But after what I have saw on this blog from the Hwy, if that is what is fueling Tom O and the people he represents than I give my vote for J. Hoog. I think I speak for alot of people who are disgusted by the campaign of Tom O. The hwy is what he is running for, and we had that before with VB. Hopefully the people of Dearborn County will see this and cast their votes for Jake Hoog. I did talk to a hwy employee and they did admit the facts of what is going on "behind the scenes" and that the facts are true. I think they are in a tough position to speak out, afraid of retributions of the "buddies". There is alot more problems facing the County than the disgruntled Hwy employees. Sewer, traffic, jobs, taxes are big problems that face us all. After listening to Jake Hoog I think he is more capable of representing District 2 Commissioner. I look forward to the term of Jake Hoog.

Jeff Hughes contributed 13,500 dollars to his campaign as of January 2008.

That's a lot of money. I guess he believes that he must sacrifice to serve the people of Deaerborn County as a county commissioner.

What a very noble chap.

What a very noble chap.

Desperation does not come cheap.

So do you think his backers will help pay it back after the primary?
That money is more than half a commish salary BEFORE taxes.

Maybe some developers could send more jobs Hughes' way, being that he is in construction?

Maybe this is Jeff's way of "bidding" on jobs?

The state is forcing the dcrsd to force pressurized sewers on the rest of us:

LIE

Hughes and Fox are against forced sewer hook-ups:

LIE

The Comprehensive Plan planning process did not adequately inform the public of its functions, meetings and timetables:

LIE

State code demands an uniformed armed police officer at commissioner meetings:

LIE

Vieste was not a taxpayer financed development lobbying group to support development at the expense of this County’s Citizens:

LIE

Our hands are tied:

BIG ASS LIE

If you want more of same old LIES, vote for Fox, Hughes, Fehrman and Barrett!!!

If you like having hired-help, SOB, county attorneys berating our citizens, during county meetings, because such citizens point out the foibles and hypocrisies of the county attorneys' politically connected developer buddies, vote for Jeff Hughes and Rick Fox!!!

That is just Vera's nature.

Even her neighbors dislike her for her bullying nature.

But don't take it seriously.

Her neighbors don't.

Vera is just the butt of all her neighbors jokes.

A big butt...

Who is this Vera Benning she sure gets a lot of time on this Blog?

Vera Benning's most favorite and admired Movie character?

Why of course, it is the stern-faced, ugly "Miss Gulch" riding her creaky bicycle at the beginning of the "Wizard Of Oz!"

So enthralled with the "Miss Gulch" character, she has patterned her life and actions on such "Miss Gulch!"

If only Chris Mueller had a dog named ToTo, Vera Benning's life would be complete!

Just some old washed out political hack and harridan thrown from public office but is still on the public payroll because of corrupt political cronyism...

Anonymous said...

Our development owned politicians so hate the comp. plan because it made manifest the reality that the public had finally woken up, participated and was now paying close attention to our corrupt politicians.

Jeff Hughes castigated those who took the time to involve themselves in the Comprehensive Plan, basically taking the position that he represents the interests of all those who do not give a crap to involve themselves in the process!

Jeff Hughes:

"THE SPOKESMAN FOR ALL THOSE WHO DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE PUBLIC PROCESS, WHO ARE THEN, BY DEFAULT, AS CHARACTERIZED BY COMMISSIONER HUGHES, AS BEING FERVENT PROPONENTS FOR UNRESTRAINED DEVELOPMENT AND GIVING DEVELOPERS A BLANK CHECK AND A FREE REIGN OF THIS COUNTY!

Vera Benning, Rick Fox and Jeff Hughes should thank their lucky stars that the voters were willing to simply wait to vote them out of office, instead of impeaching them.

Anonymous said...

Jeff Hughes:

"Adding an entirely whole new dimension to the meaning of CLUELESS POLITICIAN."

Notoriety, no matter in what form, is always a plus, just ask Charlie Manson...

Are you speaking of Vera "Do You Know How Important I Am In My Own Mind" Benning??????

Is there any one person in this county, who does not relish slobbering development brown nosers, such as Vera, who can stomach her??????

Anonymous said...

Vera Benning gets high off the fumes of a developer's bulldozer and fumes at the fumes of a farmer's tractor.

A psychosomatic illness ingrained in the swiss cheese like mind of a greedy and power hungry development cultist?

Vera Benning's most favorite and admired Movie character?

Lisa Lehner would love to back-stab Vera to stop her from further undermining, with her ham-fisted attempts, to buttress the local crooked development's cause, but she is afraid, that if she is the one enlisted to throw the pail of water on Vera, a few drips may make their way onto her person, leading her, too, to exclaim:

"I'M MELTING...I'M MELTING..."

If little Anne Frank was standing in the way of a developer's sewers, Vera Benning would personally lead Doug Baer to the attic in which she was hiding...

If Chet Wolgamot had bothered to show up for a few more Commissioners' Meetings, he would have more than five reasons to not re-elect Jeff Hughes.

But hey, beggers can't be choosers.

Which is Why Rick Fox and Jeff Hughes never supported having grade school field trips to a County Commissioners' Meeting:

THEY COULD NOT RISK ALL THE POTENTIAL BAD REVIEWS IN THE FOURTH GRADER JOURNAL PRESS!!!

Political crooks and cronies in the pocket of developers, how sad.

Go Jake, Go Kathy. Dearborn County needs you.

Go Jeff, Go Rick. Just Go away. Dearborn County has grown tired of your Development flunky ways.
