I'm thinking, Bob Ewbank and Lisa Lehner's petty tyranny is coming to an end in this County.

How wonderful.

Maybe Vera can cater their well-deserved final ousting from power?

Let us have an honest and fair election...make the DCEDI Membership cringe!!!

Anonymous said...

Maybe former Huntington County Auditor Don Schoeff, now associated with WTH, could write a letter to the editor before the primary and general elections as to what a joy it was to watch such top notch commissioners such as Rick Fox and Jeff Hughes, work their "magic" during commissioners' meetings?

That may help with any future WTH GIS County bid.

I love having all these candidates!

Democracy!

What a great idea!

Right Mr. Maxwell?

Anonymous said...

Let us hope that Dorothy White is permitted by Dearborn "Maxwell" County to put up campaign signs in her yard...

"Let us hope that Dorothy White is permitted by Dearborn "Maxwell" County to put up campaign signs in her yard..."

Let us hope that Mr. Maxwell will soon have very few cuckolds left in local government to do his bidding to trample down any dissent relative to his development demands!!!

Maxwell is the least of your worries

Maxwell is the least of your worries

Development boils do seem to like to erupt wherever they please, do they not?

We just need to keep voting in those willing to lance such purulent development boils!

Anonymous said...

"Maxwell is the least of your worries"

Why? Is Maxwell moving to a senile old folks' home? Where he can treat the underpaid staff like reprobates, like lowlifes, like his lowly lawyers he leads around by their nose rings?

Anonymous said...

This election cycle will most certainly be an unambiguous and unmistakable watershed moment for our local, full of themselves, corrupt and bullying development autocrats and their hapless pawns.

And it could not happen to a nicer gathering of thugs and louts.

Maxwell is the least of your worries

While Maxwell may not be a cancer, I still concern myself with the treatment and prophylactic avoidance of hemorrhoids.

Anonymous said...

So that is why Ewbank, Fox and Hughes are always sitting on those little inflatable "donuts" when Mr. Maxwell is in attendance at OUR commissioners' meetings!!!

Could not Pickens budget some Tucks or Prep. H for them?

That's the same night and time the dcrsd holds it's meeting!

Hopefully after this year’s elections we can all use are real name when posting. No looking over your shoulder, waiting for some strong-arm county goon.

Anonymous said...

"...some strong-arm county goon."

What?

You don't want some county goon heading out to your house to "inspect" your septic system with the forms already filled out and signed that your septic tank failed such "inspection" before such "inspection" even took place?

Our local republican leadership, over the last few years, has permitted its influence to simply waste away, beginning the very first time the leadership took their initial steps to sell out the rank and file republicans in order to support the parochial desires and demands of a few greedy development interests in this county.

Monuments will not be erected to memorialize the respective tenures of such leadership due to their failure as leaders of our local, once honest, republican party.

This site is getting old. You guys just do cute slams on the bad guys. Where is the meat and potatoes of the issues. Solutions and directions. Come on grow up and get involved in a productive way. And by the way, I'm defintely on you side.

Is it true that DCEDI's new hire for economic development also works for Ohio County Economic Development?
How is he going to work for us and them at the same time?

Anonymous said...

Didn't anyone check this out before hiring?
Did Kinnett find us or did we find him?

Anonymous said...

Oh no- not again!
Conflict of interets???

Anonymous said...

Don't worry, Rozow is a homegrown Dearborn County boy with no allegiances to any other County or State, he will keep Kinnett in line.

Anonymous said...

Do a search on the Internet for James Kinnett and you will find all sorts of information.

Has the county gotten rid of Jim West only to find a worse replacement in Jim Kinnett?

Anonymous said...

Will Kinnett and Rozow view the rest of us as partners with the likes of John Maxwell and Tom Kent, or will we be viewed once again as mere resources to be exploited for the benefit of our local Maxwells and Kents?

It would seem we have another character in Mr. Kinnett that will be at odds with 90% of the county who do not want to see it turned into another Warren County or NKY.

And since 90% of the county will now be labeled "anti-everythings," be prepared for more back-room deals cutting out the public from the public's business.

Just keep paying your taxes, buckling under when they try to force substandard sewers on you and don't make a public fuss and you will be doing what is expected from you from the DCEDI and DCRSD.

I think every new industrial park should be built across the street from every new subdivision.

Before the first home in each subdivision is built.

Let us see how pro-growth are developers are then.

Anonymous said...

Before the first home in each subdivision is built.

No, no, no. We are to keep our farms in pristine condition across the streets from our new subdivisions. This permits the developers to name their streets, Babbling Brook Road, Rolling Pastures Dr. and the like.

It would not do if our developers had to name their streets, Industrial Way, Or Strip Mall Vista Ave.

After November, the DCEDI will have no politician left to ghostwrite editorials for that cheerlead all the DCEDI positions.

FROM THE DEARBORN COUNTY REGISTER:

Kinnett will identify property throughout the county, take a strong look at target marketing and how to best utilize the property, said Rozow.
They will create a true map of what the county wants to be, where to go with it, and who best fits in the community, he said.

Is there any doubt whose opinions Kinnett will be canvassing on the best utilization of OUR property?

Will the creation of a “true map” anywhere represent the Comprehensive Plan Map, already decided upon, but stalled by DCEDI political operatives?

And who “best” fits into OUR community?

Don’t expect any survey call from Hughes and family phone surveying service to your home relative to such a question.

People can call us, ask us to come speak, he said.
Though everything cannot be open to the public, updates will be provided whenever possible, said Kinnett.
If the word gets out about corporate decisions too soon, a project can be lost. Sometimes the DCEDI will have to sign confidentiality agreements with companies, he said.

Please feel confident that the “right” and “connected” people will have wind of such “confidential” agreements to better prosper themselves at the rest of this county’s expense.

Remember the Northwest Quadrant?

COLOR ME UNIMPRESSED WITH THE FUTURE DIRECTION OF THE TAXPAYER SUBSIDIZED DEVELOPMENT LOBBYING GROUP WHICH IS THE DCEDI.

Anonymous said...

The DCEDI knows what is best for all of us...just ask the DCEDI!!!

Anonymous said...

Remember, Lehner is still the DCEDI Attorney.

If you like the DCRSD, you will just love the new and improved DCEDI!

Anonymous said...

Please, don't get us started on Lisa Lehner! May our "new and improved" elected officials come this November minutely scrutinize everything Little Lisa Lehner offers up to them!

Anonymous said...

Will Kinnett be willing to bring charges of "insider" abuse against those who try to take advantage of such " confidential agreements?"

Anonymous said...

The dcedi: Working hard to obtain financial windfalls for its members at the expense of you, your family and your neighbors.

Never forget the n.w. quad.

Anonymous said...

How many DCEDI members supported Thompson, who was for open government?

How many DCEDI members supported Linkmeyer or that do anything for development dimbulb Benning?

Anonymous said...

Kinnett needs to spend more time with Jim West's family to give aid and comfort to West's ailing elder family members...

Anonymous said...

Us rubes, who like living in a rural country setting, need to be saved from ourselves, by those, by their own reckoning, are just so much smarter than the rest of us.

Let not our superior GPA's, SAT scores or our other innate "life lessons'" general intelligence levels get in their way...

...please forgive us our sins that we do not see the benefit of bulldozing our farms into generic subdivisions and more than bland industrial parks, as beneficial to our families' wellbeing...

Anonymous said...

I'm thinking this election cycle will be the very best and most interesting election in my life, in this county. If only I had invested in Depends for corrupt politicians and shysters. This coming November election night would most probably set me up for life. Election night looks like it will be very "messy" for our morally lost and ethical incontinent flailing development brethren!!!

Anonymous said...

Well, at least, you have a realizable and attainable dream.

Thanks to the actions of our local development crooks.

Silly rabbit!

Ethics are for corrupt children!

Us does not exist!

While them are omnipresent in our local development, user, community!

Hey twinkletoes, come on up to Tanners Creek Farm and tell me, tete a tete who best fits into the community. How the hell do or the new hired hand know?

In the meantime go dance your way back up I-74 to that Cincinnati ballet crowd sip their chardonnay and nibble their cheese. AND don't come back.

Indeed "who best fits into the community."

Where do they find these winners???

Anonymous said...

Was Kinnett involved in the new industrial park going into Rising Sun on Hwy 56? Next time you drive into Rising Sun look to your left. Nice...

Anonymous said...

Wow. An industrial park built near already existing infrastructure. I bet no letters for forcing hookup to substandard sewers to subsidize such industrial park needed to be sent out. I believe that is called "Smart Growth." Our Dearborn County crooks don't like the rate of return of "Smart Growth." They like bullying the rest of us to speed up their profits. Maybe Kinnett will not be a good fit among our local development scoundrels.

Anonymous said...

Mr. Kinnett seems to be spread pretty thin working for Ohio County, In and Warren County, OH and now Dearborn County.

Who will get the nod for any new business he finds?

And how much time will be left for him to decide "who best fits into the county"? And why should he be the one to decide? He's not elected by the Citizens!!

Anonymous said...

And how much time will be left for him to decide "who best fits into the county"? And why should he be the one to decide? He's not elected by the Citizens!!

Don't you go acting like an "anti-everything" or a "do-nothing!"

Just bend over and take whatever the DCEDI decides is best for you!

Anonymous said...

If one dollar of taxpayers' money goes to the DCEDI, then all "confidentially" agreements must be abrogated, or those "politically connected" individuals trying to prosper from such "confidential" information need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Does that sound like a fair exchange Mr. Rozow and Mr. Kinnett?

Run that past a few of your realtor/developer members.

Anonymous said...

How many entities is Kinnett working for right now?

Anonymous said...

Since Kinnett is only working or a few major development interests inter-county and inter-state, I'm sure he will not spread himself to thin.

Imagine how strained and threadbare he would be if he was actually looking out for the majority of the population's interest!

Anonymous said...

How will he decide which of his "employers" gets the businesses he's courting to come to teh area?

Anonymous said...

The industrial park in Ohio County is in an interesting spot. You have to drive through it to get to the newest subdivision in that area. Now that's smart planning and smart growth.

Anonymous said...

Who would want to live by an industrial park?

Anonymous said...

Would anyone care to give a report on "Meet the Democrat Candidates Night"?

Anonymous said...

Who would want to live by an industrial park?

Our development bought and paid for politicians would love to rezone that farm land across from your farm to build an industrial park.

Anonymous said...

yes look what happens when you have meet with the republican candidate night they put a industrial park in thank about it .
