Sorry, Hughes, Fox, Pope, Fehrman and Barrett already have plans, so Bob Ewbank will speak on all their behalf's.

Anonymous said...

Fehrman might show up, but only to grill those other candidates who say they do not support the crooked dcrsd!

Anonymous said...

While he knows that Frank Linkmeyer is not running this election cycle, Tim Barrett would still like to show up and speak on Linkmeyer's behalf to threaten Cliff Eibeck and others who refuse to buckle under to Barrett's bullying friends!!!

Anonymous said...

A question that needs to be asked to the candidates is why is there not one disenting voice on the DCRSD's board and if they agree with such?

Anonymous said...

This is just great! We already have one Buckeye commissioner transplant with a personal agenda- just think of all the money taxpayers can save if we get another one and commissioners meetings can be held as pillow talk instead of at the courthouse!!!

Anonymous said...

This is just great! We already have one Buckeye commissioner transplant with a personal agenda

Did you meet Jim West from the Carolinas?

Jim Rostow who lives in Kentucky.

Steve Renihan, still a Buckeye?

Morris a transplant from God knows where?

Speaking of pillow talk, shouldn't you thieving bastard development interlopers at least whisper in the taxpayers' ears before you try to screw them?

Anonymous said...

Benning was buckeye.

But she earns hoosier brown nosing points from her development masters.

Anonymous said...

Jeff Hughes and Rick Fox both should get a "going steady" ring from Maxwell and Ewbank!

Let us hope that Maxwell and Ewbank do not forget Jeff and Rick on "Sweetest Day" after they lose their respective elections!

Anonymous said...

Gee, I'm a lifer in this county, but it is you good old county boys who keep trying to screw me.

But keep up alienating and name calling an ever-growing transplant population and voting block.

Make sure that you will remain out of power for decades to come.

Fool.

Anonymous said...

Lisa Lehner partnered up with a buckeye law firm, let us make sure she never again gets a chance to work on the taxpayers' dime!!!

Anonymous said...

If you check the immigration pattern for Dearborn County- almost all of us came through Ohio to get here....
What made us leave their and live here I wonder?

Anonymous said...

Isn't John Maxwell already courting a new "Sweetie" by the name of Rick Pope?

Anonymous said...

You development idiots would not even have to contend with Thompson if you had not tried bullying him to subsidize your favorite crooks' sewers...

Anonymous said...

It is obvious that Ohio wouldn't put up with your nonsence so you had to come here. Oh, lucky us!

Anonymous said...

It is obvious that Ohio wouldn't put up with your nonsence so you had to come here. Oh, lucky us!

And Rozow could not get a job in Northern Kentucky. It is obvious that Kentucky wouldn't put up with his nonsense so he had to come to work here. Oh, lucky us!

It is obvious that Ohio wouldn't put up with Steve Renihan's nonsense so he had to come here. Oh, lucky us!

Vera Benning, it is obvious that Ohio wouldn't put up with her nonsense so she had to come here. Now the voters kicked her out of office. Oh, lucky us!

Liz Morris, it is obvious that where ever she is from they wouldn't put up with her nonsense so she had to come here. Now the voters look forward to kicking her out of office next time she is up for election. Oh, lucky us!

I could go on...

Anonymous said...

AND WE SENT JIM WEST BACK HOME BECAUSE WE WOULDN'T PUT UP WITH HIS NONSENSE.

OH, LUCKY US.

Anonymous said...

An election year.

Oh, lucky us.

Not so lucky for our local development shills and political hacks.

Anonymous said...

Buckeye Vera Benning is so unemployable, voters have to continue to pay for her patronage jobs, even after they had thrown her out of office.

Anonymous said...

I would like to see you pro-development guys show up somewhere for a good ass kidkin. Name the time and place. Remember, you only represent about 3% of the population.

One of the many indications of the sleazy governance we have had in Dearborn County is illustrated by the childish prank of stealing an a opponent's campaign sign.

IT is illegal, it is, well as I say typical of Dearborn County governance.

Now Jeff Hughes we see that where Kathy Scott signs were they were removed and your signs replaced them. This is shameful Hughes. Tell your goons and friends from DCEI, DCRSD and yes the Republican party central Committee to stop it, right now. Have you no shame????, No Pride????

WHAT WE NEED IN THIS COUNTY IS NOT A UNIFORMED AND ARMED POLICE OFFICER AT MEETINGS, Of course Messmore claims that Indiana Code requireds their presence at meeting. Wrong again WE SIMPLY NEED A COUPLE OF CHILD PSYCHIATRISTS.

I feel sorry for Rick Fox, at least Jeff Hughes gets to find out May 6 that he will be booted from office.

Poor Rick will have to wait all those agonizing months till November before it is "official" that he will also be booted from office.

Anonymous said...

"Is Crazy Al saying that Indiana Code doesn't require a uniformed officer? Crazy Al, can you cite what the code does say?"

Look it up yourself, princess!

I don't have time or the interest to look in the code at this moment, but unless my memory fails me you will see language similar to this:

THE COUNTY SHERIFF OR A COUNTY POLICE OFFICER SHALL ATTEND THE
MEETINGS OF…IF REQUESTED BY THE EXECUTIVE…

“If requested,” is the operative phrase.

Knock yourself out coming up with something different than my memory, lotus blossom.

On another subject, it looks like the experienced adults will most likely be taking over much of the VRUC’s functions (see this week’s Register).

Another blow for our corrupt and ego bloated DCRSD.

"Is Crazy Al..."

It must suck to always have your clock cleaned politically by a supposive "crazy" person?

Pretty soon, dcrsd board members will be able to park in emotionally and intellectually handicapped parking spaces.

Is Crazy Al saying that Indiana Code doesn't require a uniformed officer? Crazy Al, can you cite what the code does say?

Here it is: No sweat
IC 36-2-2-15-(d)

(d) The county sheriff or a county police officer shall attend the meetings of the executive, if requested by the executive, and shall execute its orders.

Maybe you ought to read it to Messmore, he messed up on it. How the Hell can anyone mess up this simple paragraph--- but he did and we are paying this guy, Fox's and Hughes's choice. Lord have mercy upon us.

Anonymous said...

Maybe you ought to read it to Messmore, he messed up on it.

If Ewbank provided him with the code, I'm sure the "if requested" language was redacted because it did not fit Ewbank's development agenda.

Fire both Messmore and Ewbank.

Anonymous said...

On another subject, it looks like the experienced adults will most likely be taking over much of the VRUC’s functions (see this week’s Register).

The DCRSD has no successes, many failures and conflicts of interests coming out their asses.

It has snakes, bullies and crybabies for board members.

It has a washed out brown nosing political hack for a secretary.

It has an attorney who is partners with the biggest pro-development prick and power hungry egomaniac.

It has no infrastructure.

It has no experience.

It has no support by any of the reputable sewer concerns in the county.

The only few people who support the DCRSD are those lining up to fatten themselves up on our dollars.

Any politician who wishes to remain in office will not support the DCRSD.

Anonymous said...

What's the story on this Renihan?
Do the local unemployables believe that there is no one in Dearborn County capable of sitting on the board of DCRSD that exclusive, well educated highly successful self sacrificing group of community leaders. Huh, is that it?

Anonymous said...

Since our development friends keep telling us that there is no development taking place in this county, shouldn't Maxwell then have all the time in the world to hookup to St. Leon's sewers? I'm sure he has the equipment to do it. With it all sitting idle and all.

Anonymous said...

"Do the local unemployables believe that there is no one in Dearborn County capable of sitting on the board of DCRSD..."

Even the local realtor/developer thieves are hesitant to be associated with the dcrsd ethical cluster fudge!

Now they must bus new conflicted board members in from out of state.

Pretty soon, the only requirement for being a dcrsd board member will be a poor quality fake Green Card.

Please don't be ridiculous- why should the trucks be run every day all year to worker's homes for a few days of snow and ice?
Why not send workers home with trucks only if needed? Or have an on call guy for emergencies if that seems to be s problem. Just how many emergencies do we have per year? Numbers please.

Get this week's register. Brian Groh took development's little bad boy to the woodshed.

And the front page tells of possible good news for HVL and the County as a whole.

Anonymous said...

Loved the title on the Brian Groh Guest Column in the Register- SEND HUGHES A MESSAGE HE'LL ACTUALLY HEAR.

Anonymous said...

Highway crews in this county can and are called out at any time day or night all year long when we have wind and trees are blown down on the roads, we have slips where dirt washes out on the road, water on the road and signage has to be erected, snow and ice, and many other occasions when it is not effective or efficient to drive 20 miles to get a truck to drive back 20 miles to do 30 minute job.
It's a little ridiculous to assume you will know when emergencies will happen so you can send a truck home that night. That is why they are called emergencies. If you have a person on call, that is once again assuming you will know what the situation will be at 2 o'clock in the morning and what will be needed. And when this is all determined, look at what you are paying the highway workers and what is expected of them. There is a big difference. Most of the county would not work for the salary the highway workers get paid.

Anonymous said...

I read Groh's article. There are some interesting points but alot of twisted and inaccurate statements that most county residents will think have some merit. Too bad we can't just get honest people to give us both sides of the issues so we can make up our own minds. We just continue to get misleading innuendos to attack individuals who are doing what most county residents would not do, serve the public in an elected capacity. They then have to endure half truths like on this opinion page.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

"They then have to endure half truths like on this opinion page."

What half truths?

All we ever get from the development side are blanket, vague answers spouting on and on about "half truths, anti-everythings and do-nothings."

You development folks are in a political and credibility crisis.

You better get past mere slogans and labels and defend your positions, if you can.

You no longer can run roughshod over those who oppose you by simple governmental fiat.

You no longer run this county.

Anonymous said...

Don't you wonder how many pissed of conversations he has had about the rest of us refusing to hook on to such shoddy sewers and how much time and energy he has expended devising ways to lawyer us to death, with lawyers paid for on our dime, until we do?

Loved the title on the Brian Groh Guest Column in the Register- SEND HUGHES A MESSAGE HE'LL ACTUALLY HEAR.

Unless such message is delivered to him by one of his dcedi editorial ghostwriters, I still doubt he will fathom the ramifications to him and his short and sorry political career.

I'm sure he believes that even if he loses the primary, Ewbank could and would legally change Jeff's name to Linkmeyerson so he can run and win as an independent candidate in the general election.

Jeff is delusional, if you have not noticed!

Jeff Hughes does not need to be called.

He is on the developers' speed dial list if something needs to be done.

And if the developers feel that not enough folks were informed, such as with the Comp. Plan, such developers will speed dial Jeff Hughes and make sure he halts any actions not favorable to such developers until Jeff Hughes and his family calls YOU and conducts a phone poll.

1. Statements like "every single other community in this country, recognizes that it needs a representative government to listen to voters and help us to negotiate where to build low and high density subdivisions". This is what Mr. Groh wrote, too bad he didn't go as far as Whitewater township in Hamilton County, Ohio, who have refused to have zoning in their township. But perhaps Mr. Groh has written them out of our county.
2. It also seems to be beyond Mr. Groh's abilty to comprehend that no one commissioner can make any decision that is enforcably under Indiana law. He has specifically written this article to attack Commissioner Hughes. This assertion that Mr. Hughes stopped the Future Land Use Map, all by himself, is both twisted and inacurate.
3. To infer that any county administration before Hughes, Fox and Thompson, all an individual had to do was raise their hand to speak at commissioners meetings show that Mr. Groh didn't go to many or any commissioners meetings before the current administration. In very few situations is the floor opened up to any discussion for any length of time. Granted, this current administration is more resrictive that past administrations, but Mr. Groh was again twisted the facts to infer that discussion has never been limited or disallowed in the past, and that inference is inaccurate and misleading.
Whenever someone is prodded to do a "hatchet job" as it appears Mr. Groh has been, often the desired results of bashing an individual takes precidents over accurate reporting.

SORRY TO USE CAPITALS- BUT IT MAKES IT EASIER TO DISTINGUISH MY COMMENTS FROM THE STATEMENT MADE ABOVE AND COPIED BELOW.
PERHAPS GROH WAS TALKING ABOUT THE COMMUNITY REALIZING THEY NEEDED A REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENT- NOT THAT THEY ALL HAVE ONE.
SO HE HAD SOMEONE WITH HIM- FOX- DOES THAT MAKE IT BETTER?
THIS IS WHERE YOU ARE DEAD WRONG- PEOPLE COULD GO IN- YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO GO TO A LOT OF MEETINGS TO SEE IT. AND THE POINT IS IT WASN'T FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME- BECAUSE THE PEOIPLE DIDN'T ABUSE IT. THE ONLY TIME PEOPLE SPOKE AT LENGTH WAS AT ZONING PIBLIC HEARINGS.
Whenever someone is prodded to do a "hatchet job" as it appears Mr. Groh has been, often the desired results of bashing an individual takes precidents over accurate reporting. YOU THINK GROH WAS PRODDED? AND WHY WOULD HE WANT TO DO A HATCHET JOB IF HE HAD TO BE PRODDED TO DO IT?
IT'S MORE FUN TO PLAY- "GUESS WHO WROTE MESSMORE'S LATEST OR ANY OF HUGHES'S EDITORIALS.

Most of the county would not work for the salary the highway workers get paid.

Minimum $13.86/hr + overtime + longevity pay, 8 hour work day with paid 1/2 hr lunch and 2 paid 15 minute breaks, 16 paid holidays, 12 paid sick days, minimum 2 weeks paid vacation and County paid insurance. Hwy workers do us a favor and quit so real hard working people of Dearborn County can have your jobs.

Anonymous said...

thank about it buddy

Congrats to the commish's for making the highway dept. all one unit and for making the employees be able to do everthing. So many times I have seen waste by these crews because that part of the job is not in my classifcation. If the employees do not want to play by the new rules get out start drawing your unemployment and let somebody else who needs a job and needs to provide for their family have a chance of geeting one of these jobs.

Kind of like Bryan Messmore, "I work for the DCEDI and other important Development interests...it is not my job to look out for the common taxpayers of this County..."

I hope Bryan Messmore did some serious social and business networking these past few years, because he is going to need all the "connections" he can muster after he is replaced by the incoming Commissioners!!!

Thanks to whoever posted what the hwy makes. They are really sad, pathetic people. People who are wishing that little Tom O will be their savior is their cruel world. Do you realize how many people would have your job? And how many people can spell and use english correctly? (I couldn't resist that, but I am tired of reading their comments here and figuring out what they are trying to say, Hey hwy! Can you say or spell DICTIONARY? No forget it , you would spend all day looking under spell. Do you realize that you workers stab your "buddies" in the back so much, it is like a Freddy versus Jason marathon. What is this attack on Listerman? HE MAKES YOU DO YOUR JOBS. guess what, everyday people go to work and DO THEIR JOBS. Thanks to Listerman and Grieve, hwy is starting to work. NO more sleeping in trucks, hanging out in your "Districts", parking in cornfields, swimmimg in your pools, working at your house, working on your "relationships" while you are at work. Guess what? that is called DO IT ON YOUR OWN TIME AND NOT ON THE TAXPAYERS DOLLAR. I guess you guys have to try and understand that you have to be held accountable. That is what REAL WORKERS are, they are held ACCOUNTABLE. Do you know how you guys look? You actually look shocked! How dare that mean Listerman make us work! We have to start working at 7:30 am, how mean HE IS! We need to hang out and drink our coffee and smoke before we start, we need at least to 9, to wake up. GET A LIFE BECAUSE YOU HAVE NONE! Now in all your wisdom, you are banking on Tom O. A little man who has more baggage than the Cincinnati Airport. Now teamed up with his rag tag hwy workers and Dillsboro loser Hon, you guys want to fire Listerman and go back to your life of leisure of working for the County. GUESS WHAT? HELL NO! Tom has said "4 ten hours day" for the workers, guess what? me and my taxes aint paying you time and a half to come out on Fridays, at 21 bucks an hour! I aint paying for your Districts for your social life, Shut them down and save money on phones and utilities! What do you do Hwy, when Tom is beat? Do you try to suck up to the next person? Guess what, I think you highway workers are done and new people will take your jobs...................until next time .........What does Tom O do? Can they Hwy workers work? What becomes of the hwy couple? Tune in next time for as the highway turns........................

Anonymous said...

"i see what the highway workers make could we see what messmore makes and listerman makes please ?"

2008 budget indicates Messmore makes $69,010 before benefits and Listerman makes $70,000 with $20,000 of that total coming from state reimbursement.

Anonymous said...

So Mr Listerman costs the taxpayers
$50,000. I'm pretty happy with the job he been doing, my road is plowed in a timely manner, potholes are patched, etc........
Heck he even gives a report at the commissioners meeting to keep the public informed. If the current commissioners would stop the "special projects" he would get even more done.

As for Messmore, just what's he done for the common man in Dearborn
county. Time to show him the door.

So, are you suggesting that Messmore is just another empty polyester pantsuit with someone else writing his guest columns or editorials?

Do you think, like Benning, he was coerced by our feeble, low class republican leadership, to support Linkmeyer last commissioners' race?

How sad Messmore must be.

To be in the same company of fools as Benning...

Messmore and "County" time!!!

Yuppie Messmore has been led to believe by our "County's" self-loving and delusional development interests, that any time spent thwarting the interests of us common folks, for the benefit of our local, prickly development interests, is on "County" time.

i would like to post on behalf of tom orschell. he does not campaign on county time. he is not trying to fire his boss. he is not mad about anything. he has spent the last 18 months going to every sort of meeting in the county to become very knowledgable of county government and to learn what is important to the citizens of our county. i believe his boss is very angry that tom might have a higher position than him so he is dropping nasty comments anywhere and everywhere he can. he is obviously making someone nervous because his campaign signs have been stolen from route 46 and from sneakville road. stealing signs is very immature by the way!!!! tom is not working for anyone but the citizens of dearborn county he is a very hard working honest person and deserves a little more respect than foolish judgement from those who don't know anything about him. as for the comment about sleeping till 9 i have known tom for almost 15 years and he gets up like clock work at 5am even on the weekends and never stops working. i do not see him take breaks when he is working on anything as i said before he is a very very hard worker. and all of you saying he is complaining because he doesn't want to work on fridays think about this how much gas do you think the county could save using those diesel trucks one less day per week. remember diesel is over $4 a gallon. oh and unlike some of you i am not afraid to put my name to my comment. i will not post as anonymous because i am not trying to hide like the rest of you.

think about this how much gas do you think the county could save using those diesel trucks one less day per week. remember diesel is over $4 a gallon.

So, I guess this County would truly prosper if we would rid ourselves of such trucks and drivers all together.

Think about all the money McDonalds would save if they did not have to contend with all those costs of beef for their hamburgers?

The making of hamburgers is such a financial drain to McDonalds.

If McDonalds were only open 4 days a week, at 10 ten hour days, think about just how much money McDonalds would save!

Perhaps Listerman is a good manager and trying FIRST to salvage you and your job. Perhaps he's giving you an chance.
SECOND- did you really read ALL the INDY Star articles? You might be surprised. Don't just parrot the usual gossip- which by the way is OLD "news."
Do you really think 4 days of work is a good idea? 10 hour days for LABORERS is hard work. How much really will get done? Who pays the time and a half for those called in for emergencies on the 5th day?
There is a reason that a laborer is a laborer and a manager is a manager. You each need to do your jobs.
Perhaps it's not a good idea to have county employes running for office while employed. It's definitely not good to have them employed after elected.

Anonymous said...

He didn't write it, probably Ewbank's secretary wrote it, she probably does Ewbank's writings too and Kramer's, and and sweet Vera Bening's and Hughes's and Fox's, and Nugent's and Bischoff's.

What's the story on Orschell who seems to want to be a County Commissioner?

He is ticked at his boss Todd Listerman who is probably the best Counry road supervisor we've ever had. So Why?

He is all eager for CHIP AND SEALING ROADS, even gravel roads. What's that all about? You sort of wonder if he has an interest in chip and sealing wouldn't you?

Just wondering out loud that's all.

Let's ask him about all of this during the Meet the candidate night.

Anonymous said...

sorry i am a ENGINEER GREIVE is road supervisor stupid.

Anonymous said...

i don't think tom is pissed at listerman i think it is the other way around. as far as the chip and seal goes i think at least tom is working on ideas to protect the investment in our roads vs just letting them detiorate.

Anonymous said...

Until this County can catch up on its current and back-logged infrastructure needs, we need to tell the handful of greedy development interests in this County who see the taxpayer as a blank check for more development, to go to hell!

Anonymous said...

Quit picking on Bryan Messmore!

Just last week he learned that those were not frightening disembodied "voices" in his head...but someone had purchased for him and implanted a Blue tooth in his brain!

Anonymous said...

Chip seal is not intended to be used on gravel. It is to be use to prolong life of structurally sound asphalt pavement. Waste of money on gravel roads. Council and Commissioners know this, that is why Commissioner will not authorize and Council will not fund a chip seal on gravel program. Orshell is just trying to give citizens living on these unpaved roads false hope. Just another Politician trying for a vote any way he can. Google Chip seal and look under Missouri Petroleum and it tells you about proper use of chip seal. www.missouripetroleum.com

Anonymous said...

i was at the previous meet the candidate and i think toms focus for the chip and seal was on preserving and mainting our paved roads there was just a brief discussion on what might be done for the gravel. but the chip and seal was for preserving our pavement. check your facts listerman i mean anonymous your getting your story mixed up.

I know Listerman and if any citizen had any questions about highways, prioritizations, funding etc., all they need to do is give him a call at the Highway Office, 812-537-8835. That way you can get the correct answer from the horses mouth instead of the half trues posted on the blog.

Anonymous said...

"from the horses mouth"

Are you making fun of his smile or his breath?

Because Todd seems to have a perfectly reasonable smile and in the county average mean in the breath department!

Anonymous said...

Listerman and Orshell are both decent individuals, they just view their respective jobs from completely different prisms.

Anonymous said...

I guess you don't go to Council meetings or read the local paper. Listerman and Commissioner would like to use chip seal as part of a complete maintenance program. The problem is the costs for a pavement maintenance program are more than total funding for the highway department. Highway funding is over 2.5 million dollars short of need. If someone has the magic answer, I think Council and Commissioners would like to know. Is Tom proposing increased taxes or user fees? Article was called "Running on Empty" and published I think last January in the Journal.

Anonymous said...

Basic Math for Hwy and Tom Orshell and family. Tom wants 4 ten hour days for the hwy to save money. A hwy worker works 5 eight hour days a week. Now Tom says, a 4 ten hour day will save money. For hwy workers who cant do Math, you have to work 40 hours a week.So the only way that I see it, to save on gas, is if you plan on working less. Did you tell the public Tom, that when a holiday falls on a Friday, the workers don't have to work on Thursdays? So now with the 16 holidays a year, how many holidays fall on friday? So now you guys want to work 3 days a week? With all of the work that needs done, how will it get done if no one is working? Add this with a minimum of 2 weeks vacation and again, what work will get done with NO ONE there? I am sure that you can guarentee that Mother Nature will not have any winds or storms on the days you are off. I really dont think the taxpayers want to pay you overtime of 21 + dollars an hour. And until Listerman, Foremens were choosing who to go out on overtime (whether you were "trained" or not. Guess that bit into the Dist 1 FUN!) And for Chip and Seal, did you not read the requirements for that? ONLY for PAVED ROADS. I guess you will have a supplier for that to, at a very good source. I heard that Tom is spreading (Manchester and Bright places) that the highway doesnt work because the Commissioners dont let them. Okay so what is he doing? Crap for hwy , crap for Commissioner. And Tom, I think you still owe people of Dearborn and Hamilton County some kind of apology when you wrecked your AIRPLANE and took out the electric for those hours and hours. Mom really enjoyed being in Krogers went the lights went out. I bet the Fireman and EMTS appreciated it too, I forgot, I pay those taxes for those people. Gee tom, I cant AFFORD you to be Commissioner.

Highway funding is over 2.5 million dollars short of need.

I am sure, that Maxwell, Tucker, Bittner, Fehrman and their fellow development stooges would suggest we need more development in this County to make up for the millions of dollars shortfall in the need to maintain and correct our current infrastructure needs!

Anonymous said...

all they need to do is give him a call at the Highway Office, 812-537-8835.

If I remember right, the hwy once had 4-10 hour day work weeks but it was stopped when it was shown that it was not cost effective. Call Listerman, he probably can explain reasons why. And last time I talked to Listerman his breath was minty fresh.

Anonymous said...

Will someone tell me why you are so against Listerman. Personal grudge. County finally hires a professional to do a job which from all I can see by reading the blog minutes, he is doing and all you can do is complain. Maybe because he is not political or one of your buddies. From what I see, he has impossible job. Can not please everyone. I can tell you, I do see the crews on the roads more, which is a big change from the past. If you looked at Governor's proposal to rework county government, he suggested county hire all professionals including Auditor, Treasurer, Assessor, and Recorder. Get politics out of county government. This campaign shows why the Governor requested change.

Anonymous said...

not against listerman, just against the personal attacks he is putting out on tom orschell and the fact he is stealing or having someone steal political signs right out of peoples yards. if he is such a good person he wouldn't attack another good person and such a great candidate just because they don't share the exact same views. also i don't recall tom saying anything about raising taxes to protect our roads. i do think it would be better as a taxpaying citizen to pay to protect the roads now than to pay alot more completely redoing them down the road. oh and good for tom's daughter-in-law for speaking up for him. he seems to be such a good person that he won't even attack those who are attacking him he seems to be above that. i just hope more people join me and her in speaking up for the best candidate this county has seen in a very long time.

Are we going to get some campaign finance info soon? Hughes must have quite a war chest judging from the large mailer (with him in front of a CORN FIELD) a la Nugent style he sent out. Who is paying for this?

Again, no candidate, in Dearborn County history, will have so many signs and yet lose by such a large margin as Jeff Hughes!

We all know who is buying his signs for him!

And we are not in the least bit impressed!

Anonymous said...

LOL!

Whenever I see a Jeff Hughes' sign or mailer, I think about those who fronted the money for such signs and mailers and believe me, those development entitled pricks have every intention on forcing the rest of us to reimburse their expenses down the road through forced sewer hook ups and the like.

Just like Hrezo, Hughes is using a Cinti developer that is trying to dip into the Dearborn Co. taxpayers dollars to sewer a subdivision "way out" on US#50 near Dillsboro. The developers are getting desperate backing Hughes!

No election should be focused so much on INTERNAL highway issues. Arguing over where trucks get parked, how many hours the workers should have per day, and whether or not gravel roads should be chip sealed - seems to be a personal vendetta.
Let's stick to issues the mainstream voters care about.
