Obituary for Phil Weaver

Phillip D. Weaver, 66, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 in Cincinnati, OH.

He was born April 1, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of Orville Weaver and the late Mary Ellen Weaver. 

Phillip served as County Treasurer for Dearborn County as well as Clerk of Courts since 1980. He enjoyed his work at the courthouse and met many friends and colleagues in his 36 years of public service.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Dearborn County 4-H Board of Directors, the Dearborn County Fair Board, Republican Men's Club and was involved with the South Dearborn Dollars for Scholars program. Phillip graduated from Aurora High School and then went on to Purdue University. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle. He was the announcer for a number of livestock shows during the Dearborn and Ohio County 4-H fairs. He served as the final Dearborn County Torch Bearer to celebrate the Indiana State Bicentennial. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his father, Orville Weaver of Aurora, IN; wife of 45 years, Beverly Weaver of Aurora, IN; children, Adam (Allison) Weaver of Aurora, IN, Amanda (Britton) Blair of Vale, SD; siblings, Becki (Pete) Nocks of Aurora, IN, Dana (Donna) Weaver of Philo, IL. and Darrell (Beth) Weaver of Dillsboro, IN.; Grandsons, Jack and Colt Blair, and Case Weaver.

He was preceded in death by brother, Murl Weaver and mother, Mary Ellen Weaver.

Friends will be received Friday, October 28, 2016 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Church, 220 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at 7:00 pm at the church with Pastor Edward Davis officiating.
