7 NOVEMBER 2018 DEARBORN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING NOTES

Present: Shane McHenry, President, Art Little, and Jim Thatcher

Also present: Connie Fromhold, Auditor, Andy Baudendistel, Attorney, and Sue Hayden, Administrator

Commissioner-elect District 3 Rick Probst was present.

TITLE VI STATEMENT FOR COMPLIANCE was read by Baudendistel as legally required.

OLD BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS

Knights of Columbus Council 1231- Annual Prayer on the Square- Gerald Bruns- January 18th at 10 AM-Commissioners approved.

Planning and Zoning Director- Mark McCormack - Proposed Changes to Article 3  Section 315 C of Subdivision Control Ordinance  regarding Flag Lots and Ordinance to Amend Article 3 Section 315C. McCormack explained the changes in language. The recommendation was passed unanimously by the 8 members present at the Plan Commission. No public wished to comment today. Commissioners approved the changes to the subdivision ordinance.  

Barnes and Thornburg 2019 State Legislative Relations Counsel Lobbying Services- this is an annual renewal for their services. Hayden had their original contract for in session for $5,000/month for in session and $3,000/month for the month they are out of session. This is the same as before. Approved and signed. They will keep in close contact as this is a budget year coming up per Baudendistel. They typically meet one on one with Commissioners. 

Board of Health- Re- Appointment of Michael Hankins to the Board- Approved for Jan 1, 2019. 
Acceptance of Health Board’s Decision for a Health Officer- This is to approve Dr Scudder - approved. 

ADMINISTRATOR – Sue Hayden- nothing else

AUDITOR – Connie Fromhold  -Claims and Oct Minutes approved.  McHenry congratulated Connie on being elected. 

ATTORNEY – Andy Baudendistel- congratulations to winners and thanked those who ran.

COMMISSIONER COMMENTS- Little- congratulated winners andThatcher on running things well/
Thatcher- thanked all county staff that helped with elections.
McHenry- Congratulated Probst and those who ran.
