Looks like West's pay varies. Is he on commission or a performance based pay schedule?

Looks like West's pay varies. Is he on commission or a performance based pay schedule?

His pay will probably go down this year because of his embarrassment of coming before the commissioners without a 100% guarantee of a rubber stamp for more funds!

Cost to recovery accounting...leaves the DCEDI...a very expensive hobby...for its clueless benefactors!

If this information were to be submitted to the Dearborn County Register, what are the odds that it would be published? I would say zero.

The Dearborn County Register, akin to a Middle School Newspaper, sans the "hard" news that may be found in a Middle School Newspaper!

Thanks for the information.

I don't know why it was posted?

But thanks.

I do not know why it was posted. Look at the contributors list, it involves taxpayer money.

Jim West, a 400% pay increase from 2004 to 2005, that is more than Fox and Hughes put together.

Jim West, a 400% pay increase from 2004 to 2005, that is more than Fox and Hughes put together.

2004 was the first year of the DCEDI, it would depend how many months West was working as to his pay.

Let us not be silly here!

Jim West has enough problems...we do not need to make them up!

Why didn't they list contributor's names in 2006?

They started 2007 wih $613,030 in their account. How much money do they need- and what are they doing with it, besides paying their director?

And the DCEDI has no successes that would not have happpened without it!

But, look at all the failures!

Look at the Northwest Quadrant, for example!

The DCEDI's heavy-handed, ham-fisted and disasterous handling of that mess, set back development in the Quad for decades!

Trust ain't nothing you can go to a bond bank for a "trust" infusion!

Anonymous said...

CBM did not mention the board of trustees as listed in the 2006 income tax return.

We have The honorable Mr. Rick Fox and Mr. Brian Messmore listed as trustees.

Additionally are listed a couple of people who work for local banks, bank employees who probably are salivating for more depositors hence more subdivisions and businesses.

Periodically James West is dispatched by his handlers to go before the County Commissioners to request public money for the support of the DCEDI. Obviously the Honorable Mr. Fox as a commissioner would be in a conflicted situation in that he might feel obligated to use public money to support the DCEDI.

Certainly the DCEDI can find a few lawyers, perhaps contributors to it who will have eighty eight and a half reasons why he is not conflicted. To argue this in court would cost a great deal of money thus no one can argument in regard to his being conflicted.

Legally perhaps he is O.K with this, but morally he is conflicted. Therefore Mr. Fox should recuse himself from any Commissioner decisions in regard to the DCEDI.

Brian Messmore a hired hand of the County, read that as on the taxpayers payroll is simply a disappointment. It is difficult not to believed that such a young and charming man is what I believe to be cynical.

Now going over the finances as reported in their tax returns we can see that there is a lot of money in that organization and obviously the organization has raised private money and can do it more. Therefore DCEDI should not get one red cent from the public trough. They should be ashamed of themselves for having asked and having received public money. We have wealthy men wanting their organization to be supported by people in a county in which the average income is about 48-49,000 dollars a year.

Lastly for the moment why is the organization a tax exempt organization when their meetings are secret? Is the KKK or the Aryan Nation or any of the supremacist groups or the Black panthers all of whom are somewhat secret tax exempt? Why the DCEDI?

The DCEDI, as it is formulated today, will continue to present failure upon failure to its "investors" and to this County's taxpayers!

From the very beginning, trying to pawn this syndicate off as anything but a lobbying group for a handful of Development Interests in this County, who view our tax dollars as their petty cash fund, has been laughable!

Anonymous said...

The DCEDI can only perform and function while financially ravenous and dense politicians crowd our public offices!!!

Anonymous said...

The expensive failure that is the DCRSD, is a direct result of too many DCEDI members pushing the DCRSD's Board to steal as much as possible from the "little guy" to increase their respective profits!

Further, the legal advise and input, from the very inception of the DCRSD, was Development focused, at the expense of the citizen/taxpayer!

Anonymous said...

DCEDI needs a more diverse membership- perhaps if the chamber of commerce members were ALL behind it and not just development and banking interests, then other businesses would see it as a friendly and welcoming environment.

Anonymous said...

The DCRSD, as was the DCEDI, were set up to find less convoluted paths to compelling and coercing Dearborn County Citizens to sponsor and subsidize our resident corrupt and crooked realtors/developers/bankers/shysters!

And what a path they tried to cut to our savings!

Anonymous said...

It probably went something like this.

Dcedi told dcrsd if you can't get money from the DC Council to finance St Leon, get a letter of credit from the DC Council and we'll see a loan through Lawrenceburg is approved. Then we'll be good to go with county backed financing.

Anonymous said...

I have nothing against "creative" financing!

I just don't like the "creative" financing whose main goal is to steal from the taxpayer and force the homeowner to "chip-in" for the sole benefit of the "creative" class!

Anonymous said...

Anyone who thinks it is good idea to force others to subsidize the sewers of the "connected" few...are...to their very souls...thieves!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Someone, tell me again, how the "STATE" was forcing connection to the sewers of our local realtor/developers!

Tell us all, were you one of the liars spreading this misinformation?

Or, did you so want to believe this lie to assuage your very own guilt and culpability as to your proposed appalling theft from your neighbors?

Or, was it just a way to feign disbelief that your sons and daughters, working this mendacious angle, were not, in actual fact, crooks and would-be felons?

Anonymous said...

Oh! We all remember the those telling us: "Don't blame the dcrsd, they are just following state orders!" Greed is one of those variables that is just impossible to plan for or respond to!

Anonymous said...

I recall fools posting on this forum trying to convince us that it was a "good" thing that Gabbard Estates was willing to "subsidize" the costs of fixing High Ridge!

Since the State was "forcing" the DCRSD to "force" the rest of us on to its Realtor/Developer Board Members' sewers anyway!

Anonymous said...

""I have nothing against "creative" financing!""

DC Council's approval would have been a orchestrated deceptive play on the taxpayers backing of the St Leon capacity loan. Did Charlie or John explain this point or was it ASSUMED that the Council wouldn't understand the conditions attached to the "letter of support"?

Anonymous said...

Did Charlie or John explain this point or was it ASSUMED that the Council wouldn't understand the conditions attached to the "letter of support"?

The majority of the County Council and the minority of the County Commissioners, are not to be played for fools by Charlie, Brett and John!

Taxpayer theft has become the sole monetary basis of the business plans for the likes of Fehrman, Fehrman and Maxwell!

Anonymous said...

The DCRSD is going to strangle itself slowly to death!

Sometime in the future, its enablers will be heard to grumble, that the taxpayer did not show enough "compassion" towards the misdirected and ethically flawed "yoots" floundering on its board!

Anonymous said...

We will always have the DCEDI "mentality" with us!

What's up with Doug Baer not letting that family rebuild their home after their devastating fire for "sewage" reasons...

...but, the entire time development interests were holding HVL hostage in order to gain control of the VRUC, permitting millions of gallons of raw sewage to flow into our waterways, he said and did nothing?

In fact, HVL, is still polluting our waterways!

Hey Doug, I guess it is easier to bully this poor "burned out" family than all those "influential" and "politically connected" folks up at HVL?

Son, you need to start sending out some resumes...honest people are finally taking control of this County!

Anonymous said...

Fehrman isn't connected with this mess too, is he?

Anonymous said...

What has Doug done while the DCRSD has held the High Ridge fix hostage, until Gabbard Estates gets included in the fix?

High Ridge continues to dump raw sewage into Hogan's Creek!

Does Doug Baer work for the County or is he owned by the same old corrupt Development Intersests that seem to have seeped their way into the entire fabric of this County!

Anonymous said...

Doug "Can I Send Out The Forced Hook-Up Letters Yet" Baer is a hopeless and lost cause!

Anonymous said...

Presently, we have a number of misanthropes in this County who believe they are so much smarter than the rest of us, that they can “pinch” whatever they want from our nest eggs and continue on in “polite” society unnoticed!

Hello!!!!!!!!!

We see you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You leave a fairly obvious stain wherever you slither!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Now that Brett Fehrman and John Maxwell have been denied by the County Council access to our savings for their personal interests, they are petitioning the County for permission to remove at least one present from beneath each and every County taxpayer's Christmas Tree!

Anonymous said...

Congratulations to Commissioner Hughes and his wife on the birth of their son Thursday November 29th.

Kudos to Jeff and his lovely wife...with a small shout out to cbm...who...for reasons evident to all compassionate and thoughtful people...did not open up comments to her congratulatory post!

God will bless this child!

Anonymous said...

It will be a very sad Christmas for Brett and John because they were unable to make it a very sad Christmas for our neighbors with their "forced hook-up" letters!

Anonymous said...

In the future, when the DCRSD begs for more money, make them come clean with the "total" costs their sewers will cost the taxpayers...including those "taxpayers'" costs of being forced to hook-up and/or pay their "fair share" of the DCRSD's sewers!

The "true" costs to subsidize our local realtor/developers's sewers will prove to be astronomical to "all" taxpayers!

Anonymous said...

"anonymous said...

Fehrman isn't connected with this mess too, is he?"

The Meyers went to Fehrman to see if there were any houses available in the area. He directed them to go to Baer. Baer then, with two "state inspectors" determined the lot was too small for a leach bed and since the existing system, as with the rest of the homes on the west side of Huesmann Rd.(and the homes in Highridge Estates), does not comply with State law. Which Baer already knew!!! Therefore, they are prevented from rebuilding!!

The house has been demolished to the foundation and the foundation capped and covered.

The Meyers got "screwed" by Dearborn County, since the County let the original system happen and now need leverage to push for the sewers to Gabbard Estates.

Anonymous said...

But High Ridge is still dumping raw sewage and HVL is still dumping raw sewage!

And of course, Baer did not want to interfer with the Development Interests trying to take over the VRUC nor get in the way of Brett Fehrman dragging his and the DCRSD's Board's feet on High Ridge until he gets his "tribute" for Gabbard Estates!

Baer needs to go!

Anonymous said...

Where was Baer when Sammy was trying to put even more homes on HVL's "broken" sewer system?

Anonymous said...

Gabbard Estates' sewers can only happen if Brett can "force" hook ups of those in no need of his sewers!

County Council has not the heart to permit such blatant theft to be committed on their families, friends and constituents!

And the political climate is not conducive to getting anymore Development shills elected to local offices!

Development tried to throw their "Hail Mary Pass" of a power grab while letting their greed totally overwhelm them, leaving no doubt how low they are willing to go to attach our savings for their selfish desires!

Anonymous said...

Brett wants his subdivision, so everyone else must be prepared to get letters threatening them to "chip in" or else!

Brett so wants to be a big time "Player," it matters not to him if he bankrupts the rest of us in the process!

Anonymous said...

Give Dillsboro High Ridge!

Allow the SDRSD to efficiently and economically take care of West Aurora, building out from their existing infrastructure, on their most cost effective timeline!

And send the "Children" of the DCRSD back home to their mommas!

Anonymous said...

In the process of sending the DCRSD Board packing, someone should ask Lehner for a refund of all our money she wasted trying to legally form the DCRSD into an extortion racket for Development!

Anonymous said...

Maybe Lisa can get one of those "low interest loans" she suggested the rest of take out to pay our "fair share" of her Development Demands!

Anonymous said...

Why does it continue to be a shocker for our development friends that the rest of us will not just roll over and give up when they try to bully our hard earned dollars away from us in order for them to make a few dollars more on their investments?

Were they lulled into such a false sense of security by the likes of Benning, Fox and Hughes, who were willing to give developers all WE have to better THEIR bottom lines?

How much time did they think they had before, mature, scrupulous folks took back control of this County from those who thought the citizens had no right to guard their savings from realtor/developers hungry for "growth," but do not have the capital nor work ethic to pay for their "growth?"

"Smart Growth,” contrary to the nonsense unendingly spewed out by the ever-spinning shills of development, does not hamper development!

What "Smart Growth" does do is keep a keen eye on the excessive and unnecessary costs of "growth" generated and wastefully engendered by those realtor/developer/bankers/lawyers seemingly bottle fed by doting, clueless parents on a diet of "immediate gratification" and “self-indulgence!”

However, it does not take a proponent of "Smart Growth" to see what the DCRSD had in mind was theft, nothing more, by bullies who thought they controlled the playground!

Anonymous said...

Well, the County Council can take a break now from all such nonsense from Charlie's Kids at the DCRSD. If Ensweiler keeps to his promise, the DCRSD Board will never darken the door way of the Council again!

I see a lot of bingo, bake sales and carwashes in the DCRSD Board's future!

Anonymous said...

Let Charlie, Morris and Barrott run for re-election on the platform that they supported funding the DCRSD with more of the taxpayers' money, to provide the DCRSD with more resources in order to "FORCE" the taxpayers on to sewers they do not need, to aid their development bedfellows!

Anonymous said...

Dissolve the dcrsd. Then, for an amicable solution to sewage pollution, the Commissioners need to appoint a representative to address the sewer issues with the established sewer providers in Dearborn co. The drsd has a bad reputation with the established Dearborn County sewage providers. Dcrsd is trying to underhandidly control the sewage issue by gaining a "paper only" regional title. The dcrsd wants to control ALL SEWAGE not correct the original sewage problems the Commissioners intended. The dcrsd is way out of line. The dcrsd should be dissolved and a new approach taken by the Commissioners. The money is appropriated for fixing the problem. The right people are not inplace to accomplish the solution.

Anonymous said...

The drsd has a bad reputation with the established Dearborn County sewage providers.

The DCRSD's bullying has lost them the support of taxpayers, other sewer untilites and now their temper tantrum in front of the Council, has lost them the Council members!

Face it, unless the DCRSD Board can dictate all terms, they want nothing to do with the process!

Anonymous said...

"The DCRSD's bullying has lost them the support of taxpayers, other sewer untilites..."

Other sewer utilities?

As if the DCRSD is a sewer utility by comparision?

The DCRSD is nothing but a "Paper Tiger," set up to...to "hold up" the taxpayers...without the need of a gun!

The DCRSD only sees the "utility" of sewers when they are "needed" around its Board Members' proposed subdivisions, commercial properties or trailer parks!

Anonymous said...

The DCRSD:

"THE PATRON SAINT OF POLITICALLY CONNECTED SHADY CHISELERS COUNTY WIDE!!!"

Anonymous said...

The DCRSD…so few consonants…yet even fewer tangible “vows” to morally “avowed” conscientious standards!

Anonymous said...

A reminder, to us all, Development considered, thick County taxpayers, a number of these bastards on the DCRSD Board or its various and a sundry cheerleaders, who insist on reverting to the contention that our septic systems are so below public health par, that we all must be forced onto their sewers...

...are still building, listing and living in homes serviced by septic systems!

The incongruity is obvious to us all!

But the self-described gleaming intellectuals of our local backwater class of brigands, seem to think we are somehow lost in our wonderment as to their genius!

Weird and wonderful!

Anonymous said...

So how is DCRSD going to get the capacity for the TIFs in Northern Dearborn County?
Or will St. Leon build it just to get the business?

Anonymous said...

DCEDI- what ever happened to that business incubator idea for the old Ivy Tech campus?
Has DCEDI done anything for the chamber businesses?
Or like the housing developers- is it all focused on getting people to move here?
What about a 50/50 split- shouldn't taxpayers get some local business help too- after all we are paying for DCEDI too- about 50/50.
What exaxtly is West's "expertise?"

Anonymous said...

Jim "Dearborn County Is Ripe For Development" West is all about cheap land?

To keep the land "cheap" he seems to follow the Keep Landowners (US) In The Dark Until The "Clients" Of Jim West Purchase Such Land At Low Prices Theory and windfall profits rain down for the priviledged, politically connected few!

Of course, now that the LANDOWNERS have found out what is up, they will not give away their land to DCEDI Members and West has thus labeled them "greedy!"

Anonymous said...

West's DCEDI is barking down the same path as DCRSD. If he can't presuade the county to fund his ideas he has no ideas that can be funded by outside money. What has he done since he's been here? Has anybody seen any perfomance on his part that's bringing IN money to Dearborn county? It's easy to have ideas to spend money. Anybody can do that.

Anonymous said...

Creative financing is using your money to finance my ideas.

Anonymous said...

As long as West and the DCEDI Members are pushing for, or just remaining silent, as to forcing others to deplete their savings and/or get loans to finance the sewers needed for this development and growth, I would say to hell with him and the DCEDI!

They are not creating wealth, they are merely advocates for political bullies forcing the transference of wealth, from the weak to the strong!

Anonymous said...

How can I make money when I have none?
Creative financing's the answer.

DCEDI has none except money earmarked for salaries.

Anonymous said...

Even at the County Council meeting, Maxwell was still blaming those who refuse to be bullied by St. Leon as holding up "development!"

What a self-serving thug he has proven to be!

Anonymous said...

Development means just what it implies.
Using taxpayers coffers for your personal agenda is theft!

Anonymous said...

I know she is now a lowly secretary for the DCRSD, but has Benning voiced any concern to its board that they are not doing anything she promised the voters they would be doing, when she enabled the DCRSD as commissioner?

Or, is she as happy as a pig in slop, that she still may be able to "force" anyone to do anything, to feed her inner bully?

Anonymous said...

Vera's just happy to be connected to the county and still feeding at the taxpayers trough.

Anonymous said...

West need to have an outside Dearborn Co constructive idea or "go". The Honda plant secondary business idea in the NW quadrant of Dearborn Co was "Odor in windstorm".

Anonymous said...

Vera would love to hand deliver the "forced hook-up" letters for the DCRSD!

Being the petty power freak that she has always been!

Anonymous said...

"Odor in a windstorm".
That is, he did no "Down and Dirty" on this idea before it's presentation. He's payed to investigate ideas before presentation.

Anonymous said...

Other than the lip service Fox and Hughes paid it, merely to pretend they were against forced hook ups to look less the shills they truly are for their development masters, what has either of them "done" to curtail this thievery?

Nothing!

Anonymous said...

It was quite obvious Fox and Hughes were representing interests other than the taxpayer when the tabled the Comprehensive plan map.
From the taxpayers viewpoint, Hughes' talk is small and his actions are less.

Anonymous said...

West needs to close up shop here, move to Greensberg and somehow start taking credit for the Honda Plant building there and any other development that ends up within Greensberg jurisdictional limits!

Because of his "genius" up in the NW Quad, big time developers will shun that area for decades to come!

Leaving Greensberg even more attractive!

Anonymous said...

Greensberg has little or no effect on the NW quadrant. Cincinnati's growth is another issue.

Anonymous said...

If there is any secondary Honda business looking into building up in the NW Quad, they will have to "negotiate" with those who "own" the land!

Now that the folks up in the NW Quad know what is going on, there is absolutely no need to wait for DCEDI members to buy up such land and reaping all the "real" profits!

In fact, landowners up in the Quad should refuse to do any business with DCEDI Members, period!

Anonymous said...

If Walmart or any other big business sees money in the NW Quadrant, they themselves will orchestrate development. It won't be the likes of West or the Bankers that make it happen, they will be pawns in the overall scheme.

Anonymous said...

Cincinnati's growth is another issue.

Land over in Cincinnati is so expensive!

If Jim West could get our dumbass farmers to sell their land to DCEDI operatives, for pennies on the dollar, DCEDI operatives could get rich reselling this land to would-be commercial developers!

Those Development Interests with the potential of getting rich, are all that West is concerned about when he speaks of "growth" anyway!

Anonymous said...

Yeah, Jim West and his development buddies would be popping corks hours after screwing purposely uninformed Dearborn County landowners!

Landowners whose taxes he utilized in screwing them out of the windfall profits for their land!

What a guy!

Anonymous said...

Other than the NW Quadrant being on Interstate 74, it has another major plus. It has Route #1 a major north south route connecting 74 and 275. The truck traffic on route#1 is proof of it's importance to commerce.
West and his cohorts will have little effect on the NW Quadrants development through the use of taxpayer dollars. When the Quadrant's time comes it will happen.

"What do you think about the public contributions [lawrenceburg,Dearborn Co and Greendale] given to a private group."

Notice, now that the public is getting up to speed on the DCEDI and its interests contrary to the majority of Dearborn County Citizens, Jim West has been loath to come before the public boards and commissioners requesting more of our tax dollars to personally benefit his development clients!

A well informed electorate can be a killer to tax dollar thieves such as the DCEDI!

Anonymous said...

Do you think it is legal to support DCEDI since the a private closed corporation?

But...but...but...it has Dearborn County in its name!!!

The fact that non-dcedi member Dearborn County Citizen/Taxpayers are not permitted at its "closed door" and "back room" strategy sessions, as they plan to spend our money on projects to further stick us with even more bills to pay for their private financial growth, makes no difference!

Right, Rick Fox and Jeff Hughes?

Anonymous said...

Wests $100,000 salary is not what I call frugal spending. It reminds me of the taxpayers supporting a lobby without knowing their value.
But with West, we know better. He has had very little if any positive effect on Dearborn Co. growth. We could have used that money for county infrastructure more prudently.

Interesting!

Ensweiler has a temper tantrum because others are finally discerning that he and his fellow board members have done everything BUT doing what the were formed and tasked to do!

Think of credibility and the legitimacy the board would have gained by first fixing High Ridge instead of coveting the real, bona fide and functional sewer districts of others and permitting their board members to work every angle under sun to better their personal financial bottom lines to the detriment of the taxpayer?

The “temper tantrum,” at the first sign that the Council was not willing to be bullied into compliance, makes it publicly obvious, what others have known for sometime, that the DCRSD does not work well with those who are not thieving fellow travelers!

Anonymous said...

The DCRSD's Board thinks that the DCRSD provides them the perfect club for beating down all Dearborn County Residents until they buckle and throw their dollars toward the likes of Board Members, Brett Fehrman and John Maxwell's development plans!

John Gotti would have fit in seemlessly with these Sewer Capos!

Anonymous said...

May I suggest that if the DCRSD comes back again with a sewer fix for High Ridge, that includes, once again, sewers for Board Member Brett Fehrman's Gabbard Estates project, that the DCRSD just be closed down?

This will be proof beyond any doubt that the DCRSD is hopelessly "ethically" conflicted and can not be trusted with carrying out its public duties!

The Board has had ample time to do the right thing!

Anonymous said...

Calling this bunch "ethically conflicted" is being generous!

What has the dcrsd done to date other than sewering one board member's trailer park, trying to sewer another board member's subdivision and now trying hook up with St. Leon to better the fortunes of yet another board member as well as giving aid and comfort to those who are working hard to intimidate our neighbors up in St. Leon into paying for a few "politically connected" developers' sewers?

Anonymous said...

Don't forget, the DCRSD Board has also enabled attorneys to bill us well over $100,000..00 to date, without stopping one drop of raw sewage flowing into Hogan's Creek from High Ridge!!!

Of course, they were attorneys with development interests also!!!

Ya gotta admire the energy these folks have when finding ways of forcing others to pad their profits!

We need to spend money on studies that may suggest further ways to spend more money on more studies!

These "studies" are priceless...

...as to their comedic value!

“Studies” commissioned by those who set the parameters for such “studies,” to only corroborate what they instructed them to substantiate!

West:

WE NEED “GROWTH!” GIVE ME STUDY THAT SAYS WE NEED “GROWTH!” THROW INTO SAID STUDY THAT THE TAXPAYER IS NOT DOING ENOUGH TO FOSTER “GROWTH!” PLACE A COPY OF THIS STUDY UNDER JEFF HUGHES’ PILLOW!

The way that our public and elected officials have thrown our brothers and sisters to the wolves up in St. Leon, is...is...is...no words can adequately encompass what these wretched people have done!

With special ignoble acknowledgement to Fox, Hughes, Charlie Fehrman and his clan and Johnny the "red-nosed senator" Nugent!

I would add the Morris duo...but I'm not sure if one or both of this coupling are the driving force(s) in that mess of a relationship, as far as the palpable consistency, evidenced by the "Morris variable,” when it comes to subjugating our neighbors to the our conscienceless local corrupt Development Interests!

The rhetoric on this board describes the issues and problems of county government to a "T". Now what are available to change these issues? Hold the line on funding these groups until the citizens vote the collaborating commissioners out of office? What else would expedite the correction?

Anonymous said...

Hold the line on funding these groups until the citizens vote the collaborating commissioners out of office?

If "holding the line" encompasses restricting those few, ethically challenged politicos and their enablers in power who think it is ok to plunder the savings of OTHERS to facilitate their PERSONAL growth...then yes...slow things down before these self-same, self-serving "politically connected" bullies cause financial ruin to the "non-politically connected" citizens of this County!

Think of the ramifications to our populace if these few dishonest development interests in this town rangle the authority to send letters to anyone near their proposed developments, requiring them, by force of law, to contribute to their development expansions?

Any reference to "septic system" problems across this country, where "sewers" were the "necessary" remedy, are situated in locales where developers have overbuilt semi-dense developments, on "septic systems," because they had the backing of political shills, similar to our local political shills, who are now "pushing" sewers for their Development Masters!

Unscrupulous developers, with the cooperation of unscrupulous public officials, seem to be at the root of all these septic/sewer "emergencies!

Anonymous said...

Kind of like a clueless Vera Benning stating, development, any development, would fit in here at (fill in the blank)just wonderfully?

Political yokels...overreaching to any opportunity, dangled before them, to ingratiate themselve with those they miserbly and mistakenly believe are somehow their social superiors!

Anonymous said...

"Unscrupulous developers, with the cooperation of unscrupulous public officials, seem to be at the root of all these septic/sewer "emergencies!"

Who were the officials in positions of power, during the evolving genesis of High Ridge Estates?

What corrupt or clueless "baby kissers" and "flag wavers" left us with this mess?

Anonymous said...

"Who were the officials in positions of power, during the evolving genesis of High Ridge Estates?"

If there was a Fehrman even in this mix...geesh...I would just simply give up...due to an overdose of Fehrmanism and the ickiness of the entire Fehrman self-serving phenomenon!

Do not the Fehrmans have any other hobbies, other than “gaming” ways to free us all of our personal and familial wealth?

Lots of good comments on here, but

"Development means just what it implies. Using taxpayers coffers for your personal agenda is theft!"

makes no sense, the two sentences don't connect. Is the 2nd part supposed to reinforce the 1st?

Anonymous said...

Development Means???...The author of such comments, I believe, meant that "development", and please feel free to inter-suppose "growth" here, is not "happening" in its "truest" and "marginally honest" form, when dollars are "coersed," by legal chicanery, from one group to another, and labeled and defined as the profits of "development"
and/or "growth!"

But I could be wrong!

Doubt it though!

Anonymous said...

I read it the same way. Calling theft development and growth...because it ends up with profits to a certain, preferred group, does not remove or mitigate the thieving quotient of such an equation.

Anonymous said...

" Is the 2nd part supposed to reinforce the 1st?"

Don't call it development...when...you are forcibly transfering wealth from one person to another...for a product...where there is no...real...tangible...demand!

In the case of our development/political local crooks...don't redefine the definition of the creation of wealth...by utilizing political shills...forcibly transfering dollars from one group to another!

Anonymous said...

makes no sense, the two sentences don't connect. Is the 2nd part supposed to reinforce the 1st?

The DCRSD does not reinforce the public health either...

...where is the sense in that?

Anonymous said...

The DCRSD makes cents out sense for its board members...a penny's worth for a penny's worth of ethical currency!

No help from 9:47 thru 11:11.

Typical B.S. from a wise-ass development shill at 11:57...with nothing to offer the public other than sending threatening letters to the public demanding "contributions" for the benefit of their crooked development buddies!

The political process, albeit slowly, is finally responding to the wishes of the people.

And the people do not want to be forced to subsidize a handful of dishonest, spoiled realtors and developers.

Now that the "public" is involved in the "public" process, those that prided themselves on limiting the "public's" access to the process to just themselves, are now besides themselves in disbelief and anger, as witnessed by the continual emotional outbursts from the DCRSD Board!

Also evidenced by Jeff Hughes NOW claiming that not enough of the "public" was involved in the "public" Comp. Plan!

And after stating such, Jeff Hughes shut down "public" comment at the very same meeting to further restrict the "public" from voicing their thoughts about the plan!

Funny!

Sad!

And business as usual by our bought and paid for political flunkies!

Anonymous said...

Like this:

He (Hughes) is "not confident Dearborn County property owners are well enough informed" about the map, he said.

After the motion to table the decision was passed, Hughes refused to allow comments from those in the audience until after the meeting citing that the public hearing portion of the meeting had been closed.

From the Journal

How much of our money has Hughes given the DCEDI to plan in private how the rest of us will bankroll their members' personal business interests?

Anonymous said...

And High Ridge continues to dump raw sewage into Hogan's Creek!

So, not only is the DCRSD Board corrupt...

...they are also inept!

Anonymous said...

The very formation of the DCRSD had little or no public input before Development's handmaidens "wished" it into existence...

...thus setting off this mess of a non-sewer district, masquerading itself as a major sewer power-player!!!

Anonymous said...

I wonder if Hughes is for re-opening public input as to the DCRSD?

Just kidding!!!!!!!!!

I thought prostitution was illegal in Indiana??????????????????

Anonymous said...

I wonder if the Dearborn County Commissioners are for re-opening public input as to the DCRSD?

Anonymous said...

How can we get on the commissioners agenda for discussing the DCRSD?

Anonymous said...

Two Commissioners need to go!

These two see no reason whatsoever to not permit their Development Masters to run roughshod over the Dearborn County Taxpayer!

Anonymous said...

"No help from 9:47 thru 11:11."

And your advice?

Other than the empty rhetoric of expanding our tax base or facilitating growth!

Because no one on the Development side has come up with one plan that does not include stealing from the citizen/taxpayers to subsidize a handful of "connected" realtor/developers to expand THEIR developement and growth!

Anonymous said...

"And your advice?"

Their advice would be that the rest of us non-realtor/developers just roll over and play dead while their buddies blunder our savings to subsidize their businesses and fragile egos!
