Be the first to wager on which of the two remaining Development, bought and paid for Commissioners, to pull a "Benning" and to wretchedly and miserably grasp at “last minute” reasons to be “thoughtful,” in a realtor/developer sense, as to the law-abiding aspects of such a plan, concerning the dire facets of these “law-abiding” aspects of such a plan that may lead to the total evacuation of support of our local Development Interests as to backing Fox and his “Minnie-Me” twin, Hughes, in the upcoming election!

Jim West...your input here would be greatly appreciated?

Wouldn't it be and interesting and provocative plan if our local realtors, developers and title attorneys were restricted by law, to send their letters of "forced" contributions to their personal and respective development plans to their fellow local realtors, developers and title attorneys?

Such a plan may add a whole new dimension to the “Your So Selfish” argument of those who piss themselves when the rest of us make a fuss to such an arrangement!

Anonymous said...

I am not sure what the comment above is supoosed to mean. I read it a few times and I still can't graps the idea. Can you explain?

Anonymous said...

I think what the poster meant was instead of giving our local realtor developers free license to force the rest of us to subsidize their sewers, such as the Gabbard Estates' plan, let our realtor developers stick other realtor developers for the costs. One could presume that our local realtor developers would soon see the inequity of such a plan.

YMMV(your mileage may vary!

Forcing realtor/developers to pay their own way is "anti-growth!"

Forcing others to to help pay for the realtor/developers' subdivisions and other related projects is "pro-growth!"

Anonymous said...

Jim West was at the Plan Commission pushing to stop the approval. He is still pushing to steal the Northwest Quadrant!!

The EDI has never wavered from stealing the land cheap to help the developers get rich at the landowners expense.

Bet he's already lobbying Fox and Hughes to stop the Map.

Anonymous said...

Stay out of Jim West's way!

Let his efforts guarantee Fox and Hughes' primary election losses!

How can you steal someones land when they will sell it willingly? Isn't it their right to sell to whom and when they please?
I have heard them disavow the use of eminent domain which then means only land willingly sold can be bought.
Why are you trying to control your neighbors in what they may want to do with their land?
When can you say your interest in your neighbors land overrides his interest in his land?

Anonymous said...

"I have heard them disavow the use of eminent domain which then means only land willingly sold can be bought."
Please tell me you are not that naive.
Commissioners and Council may say they aren't going to do that- but the power to take land also lies with the REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION.

Anonymous said...

Amen. See above. The planning commission, county council, DCEDI, Chamber of Commerce and commissioners can all say they won't discuss eminent domain, but they will have no say if that's the direction the REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION wants to go. If you listen to the non-sense that eminent domain won't happen in this county look what Lawrenceburg wants to do with the CVS on Highway 50.

Jim West, how many ways does it need to be said to you? Don't go away mad, just go away.

How can you steal someones land when they will sell it willingly?

It is one thing to buy and sell land in an "arm's length" transaction.

It is quite another thing to use inside, what should be "public," information, to try to buy land at current rates with full knowledge that "public" officials are planning to rezone such land for residential or commercial use.

But of course, our "public" stewards are so deep in the pocket of Development Interests, they are blind to their own thievery.

When the Gabbard property was sold, how many of those living around it had any idea whatsoever that they soon be required by its crooked new owners to subsidize its development?

It used to be, I did not give a lick who was selling property around my farm...now...geesh!

I'm not a proponent nor an opponent of growth...but damn it!!!

Don't steal from my family because you are so undercapitalized to develop your own land!!!

Anonymous said...

"Don't steal from my family because you are so undercapitalized to develop your own land!!!"

I would rather they would out-right steal our savings than continually insulting our intelligence by claiming they are doing it for the public health.

Explain to me if the public health is such a factor, why are they not focusing on fixing HVL's dumping millions of gallons of raw sewage into our waterways?

These flim-flam artists only care about devising ways for the rest of us to pay for their sewers in order to increase their bottomlines with their dense development!

Just like the Development Interests who spent hundreds of thousands of HVL's money to retain control of the VRUC as these very same Interests did their best to add more homes to dump more waste into Double Lick!

Anonymous said...

And High Ridge, the reason the DCRSD was formed, continues to dump raw sewage into our waterways!

And these amateur theives and swindlers were doing their best to take over this entire County's sewer districts!

Not because they had a plan to better the public health, but to have control of all the sewer districts to ensure their need for unfettered access to OUR dollars to finance THEIR development!

Anonymous said...

Where is Doug Baer?

Why is he not publicly decrying the DCRSD's dragging of feet on the High Ridge fix?

Why is he letting Gabbard Estates (DCRSD Board Member, Brett Fehrman) hold this County's health hostage?

Do Develoment Interests in this County keep his "man-hood" in Devevlopment's "Lock-Box?"

Is Doug Baer still OKing new homes and other related projects to be built on septic systems?

If our septic systems are destroying the environment, why are Maxwell's new homes on septic systems approved?

Anonymous said...

Anyone notice the paper public notices last week?
Schmidt Development LLC is ceasing it's operations and it gave a date of Sept 30

Anonymous said...

Don’t leave out, Chuck Andres, hypocrite extradinare!

He believes septic systems do not work, period!

But only when he needs others to hook on to sewers to lower his costs to sewer his property he is trying to sell for $55,000.00 per acre!

Did you see him protesting the VRUC Old Guard when Development Interests were trying to add more homes to VRUC’s sewers while in full knowledge that VRUC’s sewers were dumping millions of gallons of raw sewage into Double Lick Creek because of HVL’s crumbling sewer infrastructure?

No!

As he attends DCRSD meetings to cheerlead forcing others onto sewers, does he protest that both Fehrman and Maxwell still list and build new homes on septic systems?

Hell no!

Why?

Because Andres is a devotee of DCRSD’s scam, scam, swindle and more scam way of pinching our savings to support developing rural locales at windfall profits for the politically connected few of this County!

In short, Chuck Andres could give a rat's ass about the public health!

Chuck Andres only cares about coercing others to be his "silent" non-participating and non-profit sharing partners!"

Anonymous said...

"...while in full knowledge that VRUC’s sewers were dumping millions of gallons of raw sewage into Double Lick Creek because of HVL’s crumbling sewer infrastructure?"

You must be talking about our little HVL Miss E-Coli realtor and developer and VRUC manipulator!!!

Public health always takes a back seat to our greedy "Users'" profits!

Well, apparently, buying up farm land at “invitation only” land auctions with the implied expectation that your political cronies will give you free license to do as you please with such property…is no longer a “good” business plan!

Sometimes it just does not “pay” to be an “insider” in Dearborn County’s corrupt political atmosphere!

Anonymous said...

"Sometimes it just does not “pay” to be an “insider” in Dearborn County’s corrupt political atmosphere!"

If only Brett would wake up to that fact!

Maybe then the DCRSD could get on to ending High Ridge's dumping of raw sewage into Hogan's Creek!

If only Brett had the where-with-all to handle his Gabbard investment as a long term one and not as the get rich quick at our expense investment it now is!

It looks like, without the ability to force others to subsidize Gabbard Estates, Brett has also made an extremely poor business decision!

Of course, he will blame the "do-nothings" and "anti-everythings" for his lack of business acumen!

Anonymous said...

Fox and Hughes are do nothing's and KNOW NOTHING'S.

Anonymous said...

How can incompetent and uneducated people make decisions for this county? Individuals should have common sense and just a little bit of education to be elected.

Anonymous said...

So, how did the Commissioners' meeting go last night?

Anonymous said...

AS PREDICTED - AND THEN SOME. THEY
TABLED IT. HUGHES SAID NOT EVERYONE WAS NOTIFIED OF THE MEETING. HE WANTS EVERY CITIZEN IN THE COUNTY TO UNDERSTAND THE MAP.
PLEASE GOD, SEND US A NEW COMMISSIONER FOR DISTRICT ONE! THIS ONE IS LIKE THE SCARECROW IN THE WIZARD OF OZ.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Hughes can continue to table it until Ewbank and Morris interview all their hand-picked Development Democratic Candidates and choose the two who will run in next years' general election to try to defeat the Republicans who will beat BOTH Fox and Hughes in the primary!

Anonymous said...

Does Ewbank wear a rubber glove when he sticks his hand and forearm up Hughes' ass to work Jeff's jaw strings???

Anonymous said...

I'm sure Ewbank and Morris can find two more development candidates who really need the money paid by the commissioner gig who are desperately willing to go wherever the politically connected developers lead!

Anonymous said...

The one and only interest our local crooked realtor/developers will have in Fox in Hughes when they lose the republican primary is that they sign their names to their endorsements (written by a DCEDI operative) of the two democrats who will continue on with their fight against the "do-nothings" and "anti-everythings" of this county!!!

Anonymous said...

After viewing last nights commissioners meeting, Fox and Hughes were "lost balls in the high weeds". Fox and Hughes were totally unprepared for the masterplan and asked questions of the audience about information they should have read and assimilated BEFORE the meeting. The county electorate needs to start an action group against stupidity in office.

Anonymous said...

The county electorate needs to start an action group against stupidity in office.

That would be at logger-heads with Ewbank and company's candidate selection process!

Dumb and needy are their top two candidate criteria!

Anonymous said...

How magnanimous of the DCEDI to permit Fox and Hughes, as like Benning, to fall on DCEDI’s sword and sacrifice their political futures for such a “GREATER” cause!

Can the DCEDI play their chumps or what?

Anonymous said...

Such drama.

Anonymous said...

Not drama, but more a sad comedy.

Part of you finds it funny how Ewbank, Lehner, Morris etc play Fox and Hughes for fools...

...another part of you finds it extremely offensive that folks could treat folks as such simply out of greed!

Similar to the feelings towards Brett Fehrman.

Brett on one hand is doing his best to steal from the rest of us for his own personal gain...

...on the other hand, you feel sorry for the predicament his limited I.Q. has gotten him into.

Then their is the exception to every rule, such as Benning...

...who deserves to reap all the pain she has and will continue to sow!

Anonymous said...

"Such drama."

The NEW and already over-used retort to replace the "BOOGY MAN" response of those of such defective and limited cleverness, so common among our local unimaginative and obtuse Development “knuckle-draggers!”

Anonymous said...

I think if Hughes and Fox go back and listen to the minutes of the meeting and actually listen to the public comments as well as their own comments they will understand that they are completely lost and incompetent.

Anonymous said...

so common among our local unimaginative and obtuse Development “knuckle-draggers!”

Maybe if they were a bit more creative they could find other ways to finance their projects without always resorting to yanking the chains of their little political monkeys to rob the bannanas and savings of the rest of us???

Maybe that would leave their political monkeys more time to throw their feces at all the other opposing candidates during their re-election campaigns???

Anonymous said...

"...are completely lost and incompetent."

As Ewbank rubs his palms together and moans in pleasure:

"EXCELLANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Anonymous said...

Our republican political monkeys already threw their filth at the republican primary voters in the last commissioner race.

One wonders how these little monkeys will chatter and screech their way around that history?

Better yet, let us see how the republican baboons such as Morris and Ewbank will reconcile permitting the two lesser monkeys to even run as republicans this coming election cycle?

Anonymous said...

Maybe Morris has more political back bone than Pickens!

A liguinie spine would be a vast improvement over what was exhibited last commissioners' race!

Anonymous said...

Ewbank runs the show. He and he will alone will detemine which candidate best fits his particular business plan.

He has a business and his practice payroll to meet.

The candidate(s) willing to transfer the most wealth from the taxpayer to his personal coffers will get the republican leadership endorsement.

Because that his concept of "GROWTH."

Anonymous said...

GROWTH: That which begins the day the "forced sewer hook-up letters" are sent out.

One thing you have to say about our local less than ethical development interests...they are no longer willing to limit themselves to "small-time" theft!!!

Anonymous said...

This County needs more sewers.

We cannot expect Double Lick Creek and Hogan's to carry the load all by themselves.

What about Tanners, Laughery, Hayes Branch to just name a few waterways not carrying off enough raw sewage in the pursuit of "growth" in this County?

If the VRUC could take on more development while it pours sewage into Double Lick, who is to say that other sewer treatment plants cannot do the same?

Anonymous said...

This County needs a full scale, L. Parvin Price, war on all people and things not sewer and development tolerant!

Permitting citizens to retain control of their savings and not contributing to the greater growth cause and money mill, for the fortunate few, has to be abrogated!

First and foremost, we need more catch phrases such as "anti-everythings!"

Then end the monopoly of the two party system in this County and create the one single entity, Development Party!

And to keep the new Party running smoothing, maybe a lifetime appointment of a local land title attorney as its preminent leader!

This is just a start, I know.

But think of all the future "good times...good times" for the DCEDI all!

Anonymous said...

You may be on to something!

And would not the "Preeminent" Leader need a life-time Secretary?

Maybe Bo Bo Benning will have a public trough job to wallow in for life?

Anonymous said...

I am sorry but you are all full of shit.

There isn't one person that has paid for a development in this county. You don't pay for the improvements that the developers make. You may like to think so to try to get support for your rumors. But the fact is that it isn't happening.

No one is stealing your savings. You are probably all spending it on yourselves because you are sitting in front of the computer all day trying to figure out what to say on this blog.

Get out of your house and enjoy the nice weather we are having. Enjoy your families over the this holiday weekend. Stop your bitching for once.

"I am sorry but you are all full of shit."

Oh really?

Remind us again why Brett is doing his best to force OTHERS to subsidize HIS sewers?

Show us all the PRIVATE dollars and/or the PRIVATE financial backers willing to sewer Gabbard Estates?

Tell us why those on functioning septic systems up in St. Leon are now being FORCED to subsidize the sewers needed by developers?

As far as time in front of the computer, some of us can multi-task!

Where as you and yours cannot steal OUR savings and tax dollars and chew gum at the same time!

Please chew more gum!

Anonymous said...

"Remind us again why Brett is doing his best to force OTHERS to subsidize HIS sewers?"
He's "trying" to use the same strategy Rod Dennerline used to upgrade his private trailor park sewer. If don't understand this you are "blowing smoke".

Anonymous said...

Tell us again about all about all our money wasted on the DCEDI and Vieste to find ways to buy up farm land to subsidize development in the NW Quad?

Tell us why such plans were kept secret from the residents of the NW Quad?

Could it be that the DCEDI and Vieste were just more tools to squeaze tax dollars from County taxpayers to grease the rails for the same old, same old "connected development interests who have hi-jacked this County?

Tell us again why those of us willing to live with in our means and infrastructure limitations should pay for your dense development that strains such infrastructure to the breaking point?

Quit trying to use us as you personal fianciers because you are in need of the fast profit!

Get a second job if your primary one is not meeting your economic means!

Enough of your whinning empty rhetoric about "selfishness!

Enought of your bull shit!

Anonymous said...

This County needs sewers because why?

This coming from the bought and paid for politicos and their realtor/developer masters who have sat muted for years while the VRUC's sewers polluted our waterways and refuse to fix High Ridge's dumping of raw sewage in Hogans until the realtor/developers get their "sweet" deal to have the taxpayer subsidize their subdivisions!

How rich is that?

Anonymous said...
