Dearborn County Economic Initiative News Release

West Leaving DCEDI

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
10:00 A.M. EDT, December 17, 2007.

Dearborn County, IN, December 17, 2007. William F. Ritzmann, chairman of the Dearborn County Economic Development Initiative (DCEDI), announced today that president James F. West, Jr. has submitted his resignation effective December 31, 2007.

"The DCEDI board truly regrets the resignation of our first executive leader and particularly this consummate professional. Jim has helped this community identify and respond to some challenging economic development issues over the last three years. He leaves our community with a much better understanding of the actions we must now take to pursue quality economic development," stated Ritzmann.

West announced to the board that his biggest challenge for past three years was not having his wife of thirty-seven years with him in Dearborn County. West noted that she had remained in Augusta, Georgia, to care for elderly parents. He would be seeking new opportunities closer to home and family.

West served in a similar capacity in Northern Kentucky from 1987 - 1998 as the first president of the Tri-County Economic Development Corporation (Tri-ED), working to locate such notable projects as Fidelity Investments, Toyota US Manufacturing headquarters and Citicorp Financial Services.

Don't let the door hit you...

Hopefully we never meet again.

Rozow next?

We get 2 more wishes, right?

Anonymous said...

Does West get a letter of recommendation from Dearborn County like Vieste?

Anonymous said...

After the comment West made at the commissioners meeting about the people in the NW quadrant being selfish and hiding behind the agricultural industry-I think many people realized he would never get anything accomplished in Dearborn County.

Anonymous said...

One down, let me think--Fox, Hughes, Eubank, Rozow, Messmore, Maxwell. Yea 6 to go.

Anonymous said...

West won't get anything accomplished anywhere if people are informed of the process. He's a snake and needs to go back in his hole.

Anonymous said...

My problem with Mr. West was he treated "non-dcedi" member county residents as exploitable resourses for the profit of "dcedi" member county residents.

The NW Quad debacle the best example of such treatment.

Why hire out of state or county for that?

We have Ewbank, Morris, Maxwell, etc willing to do that to us for without the need for extra W2 forms to fill out!

Anonymous said...

West was nothing but a lobbyist for certain development interests in this county all dressed up and disguised as a public servant!

The taxpayers were forced by a few political puppets of this county to pay West to lobby us for more of our tax dollars!

Great scam!

But a scam that only works when ALL public office holders were puppets!

The election of just one honest and independent thinker to the commissioners and look what happened?

The entire scam fell through!

Anonymous said...

The DCEDI: Great scam!

The DCRSD: Great Scam!

Both scams are mining every available possibility and opportunity to, by force of law, steal from every citizen in this County to enrich a few politically connected realtor/developer/banker/shysters dishonest and craven enough to join in on the scam!

Parasites, all!

Anonymous said...

Speaking of scams.

Vera, is High Ridge Estates still dumping raw sewage into Hogan's Creek?

We expected no less from you!

We need two more ex-commissioners being go-fors for their puppet masters at the dcrsd!

Then we can have "two" more brown-nosers at the dcrsd, not giving "one" more damn about High Ridge!

Anonymous said...

"...to enrich a few politically connected realtor/developer/banker/shysters dishonest and craven enough to join in on the scam!"

Ewbank, Morris and Morris:

"WE'RE IN!!! WE'RE IN!!!"

Anonymous said...

Parasites, all!

Sir!!!!!

That is an insult, your atrocious affront to all the honest, blood sucking and infectious parasites clear across this nation of hosts, is just so unfair and brutal on its face!!!!!

These true and upright parasites would not stoop so low as to be seen in the same company of these development scroungers!!!!!

Anonymous said...

"We expected no less from you!"

And Vera would rationalize:

“But somebody who tells me they are important, are pretending I am somehow important, so much more important than those who need to pay up, right now, and get their dollars to these people who tell me they are important, for their sewers…before these people who tell me they are important, quit pretending I am somehow important!

The logic is as simple, un-convoluted and un-tortuous as that!”

After the comment West made at the commissioners meeting about the people in the NW quadrant being selfish

Now you know how impoverished John and Brett feel, down and out, cloistered in their grotto known as the DCRSD!

Both John and Brett have so much need for the unfettered and unregulated access to our savings…

…to grow…

…immeasurably…

…their savings…

…and we just won’t roll over…

…and play dead…

…and let John and Brett…

…have at…

OUR SAVINGS!

Selfish pricks…

…all of us!

Jim West, no longer felt comfortable coming before the Commissioners requesting funding, where “NOW” one Commissioner, at last, may just “possibly” query the grounds for such funding, even though the other two “unquestioning” Commissioners could and would vote and bestow to Jim West the funds that he may so request.

Why do you think Jim West felt no longer comfortable?

” Why don't you all get some backbone and post your name to the statements you make. You have an addiction to the internet and you hide behind it. You are wimps..”

To give you easy targets to deny us loans?

To give you easy targets to find reasons to send building inspectors to picayune our buildings?

To give you easy targets, to send out your major, number one, whore, Doug Baer, to condemn our septic systems?

And, considering, your Christian name must be, as you have so attached to your post here, would be, I presume, Anonymous, may I respectfully suggest you kiss our collective asses?

Show us all, how you so shun the label of “Anonymous wimp” and go door to door, personally, demanding money for your sewers for your development, from my neighbors and my family!

I will be waiting at my front door, you “Anonymous wimp!”

Oh!

I forgot to add!

Why is it that the very mention of their names brings to mind acts of larceny?

Uh, name withheld, I guess...for reasons of lack of backbone...

…don't blame me...I don't make up the rules!

Those who accuse others of hiding behind the anonymity of the internet as they hide behind the anonymity internet…

…seem to be making up the rules as they go and as they fit their respective agendas!

Anonymous said...

"You mean MY larceny, becuase I own this county."

Well, if anybody owns "larceny" in this county, it is you!

Anonymous said...

go door to door

But...but...but...our little man-servant, dougy, said we could do it all with, official looking letters, that would scare the living hell out of the little unimportant, non-like us, bastards receiving them, with not having to leave ourselves open, personally, for some pretty tough and terrifing abuse!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Stop using MY bold and italic type, because I own this county.

Anonymous said...

No...no...no...you own all the fonts!

Which is why you are out of your "fonting" mind consumed with "fonting" greed!

Now quit "fonting" with my 82 year old wonderful grandmother, as you plan on "fonting" her over to quench your "fonting" unquenchable "fonting" thirst for someone elses "fonting" money to finance your "fonting" embarrassing weak "fonting" bottom line!

Stop using MY quotation marks as well, because I own this county.

If our local "fonting" development interests could not find some way to "font" others...

...just to pay their "fonting" taxes...

Anonymous said...

Our local shyster/power throbbers, hate quotation marks, because they alway encapsulate their lies.

Anonymous said...

Lies?

Jeff Hughes truly believes that his regurgitation of the lies of others (read bob) just makes himself a fool, not a liar.

Anonymous said...

Quit using the name of Jeff Hughes, because I own Jeff Hughes, until the next election, then I lose both he and my ownership of this county.

Citicorp to Announce Layoffs
WNYC Newsroom

NEW YORK, NY April 11, 2007 —Employees at Citicorp are bracing for layoffs. The Wall Street Journal reports that sometime today, the financial giant will announce the layoffs of as many as 15,000 people.

But CNBC, Bloomberg News and the New York Times give far higher numbers. Analyst Jason Goldberg believes Citicorp would have to cut 80,000 jobs to match the performance of its rivals.

BOSTON (Reuters) - Fidelity Investments, the world's biggest mutual fund company, is expected to begin layoffs, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing analysts and people close to the firm.

The newspaper said several employees have been in touch with managers who have been told to start giving workers notice in certain divisions, including information technology and retirement services.

Let us all begin our wagering that Citicorp Financial Services and Fidelity Investments received some sort of tax abatements to locate in Northern Kentucky?

Uh, Liz, this is your team's idea of "expanding" our tax base.

Anyone read Hughes's editorial in the Tues paper here?
It's amazing- and it doesn't sound like him.
I wonder who wrote it really.
Is there a name for passing off other's writing's as your own?
How did we get this guy as a commissioner?

Anonymous said...

Either someone writes them for him or he is provided with a point for point bulleted list on what to write.

Pray tell, did he mention the public not being informed as to the formation of the DCRSD and that he is shocked how far the DCRSD has strayed from its original task of fixing High Ridge Estates and is now just focusing on its Board Members' personal fortunes?

Did he?

Jeff Hughes, coupled with the public’s growing discernment of his intellectual shortcomings, spat in the face of the rank and file republican primary voters last year by trying to foist development democrat Linkmeyer on them, at Ewbank's "ORDERS," which will leave his re-election effectively impossible, but for the most crude and base attempts by Ewbank owned Gary Morris and whatever lowlife thugs that can be recruited for the Ewbank cause!

Anonymous said...

Yeah, Jeff can start his speeches to those republican primary voters by saying:

"I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THOSE, IN ADVANCE, WHO MAY BE VOTING FOR ME IN THE PRIMARY, FOR, IF YOU DO NOT VOTE FOR ME, I WILL TRANSFER ALL MY SUPPORT TO "ANY" DEMOCRAT, INDEPENDENT OR CHILD ABUSER THAT EWBANK IS ABLE TO SCARE UP FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION!"

Anonymous said...

Like last year's "Meet the Candidate" nights, Morris will be standing in the back of the room, like Pickens did last year, saying:

"I DID NOT ASK THIS CHILD ABUSER TO RUN AGAINST THE RANK AND FILE'S CHOICE, NOR DID I APPROVE OF THE PLACING OF THIS CHILD ABUSER'S NAME ON A FLYER OF "REPUBLICANS" YOU SHOULD SUPPORT, WITH NO MENTION OF THE PRIMARY VOTERS' CHOICE!"

Anonymous said...

It must be humiliating!

It must really, suck!

To be under the thumb of the likes of a Bob Ewbank!

Anonymous said...

"Come on. Is life really that bad?"

To accept what the "PEOPLE" of this "HONEST" community want?

Without all your manipulations and riggings of the public process?

Give it try, life afterwards will not really be that bad for you and yours!

Well! slap me in the face if bobby THE lawyer didn't find a state law that allows the sewage demons to force sewer hook up funding for the municipal utilities.
I guess we will be compelled to HIRE a big city lawyer to look into this matter. Bobby says we can't get the county to help, cuss it's the STATE law that has the commissioners hands tied.

Maybe we should dissolve the dcrsd and vote a couple of people into office that WILL represent the Dearborn County Taxpayers!

Anonymous said...

IMAGINE A REPUBLICAN PARTY LEADERSHIP, THAT SUPPORTS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY'S VOTERS' CHOICE...

It's easy if you try

You may say that I'm a dreamer

And the world will be as one

Well! slap me in the face if bobby THE lawyer didn't find a state law that allows the sewage demons to force sewer hook up funding for the municipal utilities.

But the Commissioners and County Council could defund the DCRSD!

Will Bob be the driving force of getting this done?

Of course not...that would imply he has any priciples left!

Again, the first order of business of the "newly" formed Commissioners, is to fire this no good, bastard!

Thank God, we have County Council Members who see what is going on here!

Hey, Liz, how does it feel that you will be forever remembered as the wit-less, enbabler of this "failed" attempt to force the rest of us to subsidize and bankroll, first-class crooks?

Anonymous said...

You may find this hard to believe, but High Ridge is STILL dumping raw sewage into our waterways!!!

But, Ewbank, has no problem with the DCRSD Board holding that fix hostage!

Any thoughts that Bob may leave the "Dark Side" have been set aside forever!

Good bye, Bob...may you never darken the taxpayers' doorway again!

Anonymous said...

Bob is a joke.

Next year's election will, effectively, shut down the dcrsd sewer district, as to maintaining any power to steal from the citizens to underwrite development interests of the the likes of Ewbank!

Anonymous said...

Rick Fox, you still have a choice and a chance, to support the "PEOPLE" of this County.

Before you may need to be hired-on as Benning's secretary's assistant at the DCRSD!

Anonymous said...

state law that allows

But does not mandate...

...right Bob?

But, matters not to the thieves of this County!

Anonymous said...

Liz, you listen to this, Bob Ewbank?

Only the hardcore nazis "bunkered up" with Adolph towards their "END!"

Anonymous said...

Bob reminds us all of the pick-pocket who cannot help himself from restraining from pick-pocketing his arresting officers' pockets.

Anonymous said...

A vote for Rick Fox and Jeff Hughes is a vote for Bob Ewbank.

Or so his plan goes.

Anonymous said...

Jeff is a dim-witted, hopeless and lost cause, Ewbank "hire," politician...

...but, Rick, you still have a chance!

Those a sundry inventory of crooks who keep trying to reinforce and underscore in your mind that they "CONTROL" this County...

...are desperate and frantic liars!

Anonymous said...

As High Ridge Estates still spoils our waterways....

Anonymous said...

As Hidden Valley Lake/VRUC still spoils our waterways....

Anonymous said...

As Bob Ewbank and Jeff Hughes still live in HVL...

Anonymous said...

Rick Fox needs to be a man and step out from beneath Bob Ewbank's shawdow!

Rick, is the dcrsd doing what YOU intended them to do when YOU formed them?

Because now, politically, YOU own every vote that will be cast against you next year due to the malfeasance of the dcrsd board!

Rick, you are smart enough to know now, that the only way to save your election next year is to kick Ewbank to curb, right?

Ewbank has nothing now to offer you but a couple of layers of slime!

Anonymous said...

The dcrsd's planned takeover of the Pernod-Ricard's capacity at SDRSD didn't make Ric friend's of the remaining municipal owners.
His insistance of dcrsd correcting the sewage overflows at High Ridge would be a step in the right direction.

Anonymous said...

Rick is living in such an insular world, he still thinks those few crooked and dishonest republicans in the leadership still hold power that they no longer do.

Far from saving him in next year's election, the leadership is now his political albatross.

Anonymous said...

His insistance of dcrsd correcting the sewage overflows at High Ridge would be a step in the right direction.

As long as Brett Fehrman holds High Ridge hostage until he gets his subdivision sewered, High Ridge will never be fixed.

Anonymous said...

Look at the mess Rick gave us all!

Anonymous said...

It is going to take years to remove some of the criminals involved with the DCRSD.

These Godless creatures will never give up ferretting out ways to attach our savings for the benefit of a handful of politically connected and thieving developers!

Rick, you opened this county up to pure greed!

Think ahead to the day after next year's election!

Will your "friends" be salving your wounds?

Putting money in your wallet?

You won't even exist to them the day after the election!
