7 JANUARY 2020 DEARBORN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING NOTES

Present: Jim Thatcher, President, Art Little, and Rick Probst

Also present: Connie Fromhold, Auditor, Andy Baudendistel, Attorney, and Sue Hayden, Administrator

TITLE VI STATEMENT FOR COMPLIANCE was read by Baudendistel as legally required.

REORGANIZATION:
Election of Board President- Thatcher was renamed Board President.

Reappointment of Dept Heads: All the people below were reappointed.

Boards Commissioners Serve- (All commissioners serve on Solid Waste Drainage, and Finance)- All the Boards were reappointed as listed below.

911 Communications- TABLED until that board meets for their recommendation
Alcohol Beverage Board- Jim Dole

Emergency Management Advisory - Dave Wissman and Jody Blasdel
PTABOA- Property Assessment Board of Appeals- Mark Hardebeck and Mark Neff
SDRSD- Sewer District- Dennis Folke and Robert Lischkge

OLD BUSINESS- none

NEW BUSINESS
Highway Engineer- Todd Listerman:Thanked Commissioners for reappointment.
Bid Award for 2020 Road Paving Project- Rohe was low bidder at $1,797,437.80- was approved and signed.
Supplemental Agreement #1 for Small Structure #667 Replacement Project- On One Mile Road. The design includes a temporary run-around costing  $20,400 with Jacoby Tunes and Lands. sp? No one would bid without the temporary roadway and there is only one way in and one way out of this road. Approved.

Discussion regarding Lawrenceburg Conservancy District Vote- January 13th. The commissioners get one vote at this meeting. Sue was named as the person to cast the vote this year. Approved.


ADMINISTRATOR – Sue Hayden:
Juvenile 2020 Doctor and Nurse Agreements- $13,000 nurse Ron Phillips, $11,500 doctor David Dobbs fees for 2020. Approved.
Verification of Elected Official Compliance with Nepotism Policy- IC 36-1-20-2-  All commissioner’s have turned in their statements that they are in compliance with this law per Hayden. 

AUDITOR – Connie Fromhold  - Claims and Payroll  Approved. Minutes from December 17, 2019  approved.

ATTORNEY – Andy Baudendistel- There is a need to address a scriber’s error in the port authority ordinance that he will bring back soon. Tom Palmer and Terri Randall terms on that board end in Dec 2020. Port Authority will be meeting on the odd numbered months instead of quarterly this year.

Little- honor to serve us as county commissioners.
Thatcher- hope every one had a Happy New Year.
