19 May 2020 DEARBORN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING NOTES

Present: Jim Thatcher, President, Art Little, and Rick Probst

Also present: Connie Fromhold, Auditor, Andy Baudendistel, Attorney, and Sue Hayden, Administrator

TITLE VI STATEMENT FOR COMPLIANCE was read by Baudendistel as legally required.

OLD BUSINESS - none

NEW BUSINESS -
Highway 2019 Annual Report, Highway Engineer, Todd Listerman- this is a report of expenditures and receipts for the last year.
The county took in $13,238,846.67 for roads and bridges and spent $13,285,894.94. includes material , salaries - everything. Commissioners approved and signed this report to be submitted to LTAP by the month’s end. Probst to sign when he comes in to the building.

ADMINISTRATOR – Sue Hayden- nothing.

AUDITOR – Connie Fromhold  -Claims/Payroll and Minutes from May 6 meeting  and May 18 combined meeting with Council approved.

ATTORNEY – Andy Baudendistel-  Commissioners approved an employment separation and release statement for May 19 with Probst abstaining.

They received COVID 19 money share for county is $1.6 million (municipalities get their own share)  which is subject to audit and reimbursable. Fromhold will get more information before department heads get to this. Usage MUST be directly related to COVID-19.  

COMMISSIONER COMMENTS
Probst- emphasized that COVID testing is free for people with or without symptoms. It’s not being over used- go to the Community Center in Lawrenceburg to get tested.

Little- Not a lot of rain and glad no road problems so far. Everyone is being careful with the virus.

Thatcher- noted there were 3 additional deaths at one of the nursing homes. Without those we would be flattening the curve here.
Also expressed sympathy to Todd Listerman on the passing of his mother a couple weeks ago.
