Geesh! Every surprise usually costs me more money as a taxpayer or I find out my septic tank is somehow poisoning school children in Ethiopia and we need more subdivisions to accept injured refugee Ethiopians and to help pay for our new jail

...how can taxpayers fund an investment group like Dearborn County Economic Development Initiative? Look at www.dearborncountyedi.com and click on about us...interesting to see who is on the board of directors..it's quite the who's who of Dearborn County. One on the list is actually....President of County Council!? What does other investors mean? What does it mean to "invest" in a non-profit organization? Do they get dividends or money under the table on projects? Help!!! I need answers!

Small town corruption smashes head-on into big city accountability.

Let us vote on these goals.

Let the voters, not the handful of DCEDI elites ensconced in public office, make that choice.

Thompson beat two political machines on a platform for smart growth.

Could you live with the results of another such vote?

Or would you support another “end run” like the County Republicans tried to do last election?

To attract companies they give tax abatements...this means they don't help us with "our" taxes. The brain dead commissioners that say this need their heads examined. I think they have killed too many brain cells in their past to fully understand economics.

The two brain dead commissioners assume, that repetition alone, makes inauthentic…authentic.

Economically speaking, for Fox and Hughes at least, talk is cheap. What these two supply always exceeds demand.

Both Fox and Hughes are examples of someone who doesn't know what their talking about - but insist its your fault for not understanding what they just said.

Watching Fox and Hughes trying to figure out how to effectively govern is like watching someone trying to learn the laws of electricity by playing the radio.

If all the indecisive political hacks in the world, including Fox and Hughes, were laid end to end, still they would not reach a conclusion.
